We found everything exceptional! From the quality of the food to the kindness and friendliness of the owner and his wife and all the staff; La Pigna is a family-run restaurant and we really felt a bit at home! Highly recommended!

Excellent food, fresh fish and well mixed with the various side ingredients. Really good! We were pleasantly surprised, we will definitely be back. The first time we eat really well! I ate at La Pigna restaurant and was very satisfied. It's an excellent seafood restaurant, with fresh and tasty dishes. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is warm. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood!

Una trattoria muy pequeña pero encantadora escondida a pocos minutos del duomo. A pesar de estar bastante lleno y no tener reserva, la camarera muy agradable nos encontró una mesa y el encantador propietario trajo pescado a la mesa para que eligiéramos si lo deseamos. Fueron atentos y amables y la comida (y el vino) era delicioso, excelente relación calidad-precio. Muy recomendable.

La cordialità dell'accoglienza e supportato da ottimi piatti e pescato freschissimo. Il vino non ha bisogno di nessuna indicazione e tutto fantastico. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo ma la cortesia non ha prezzo

23/08/2025: During our trip to Sicily we had a lot of very nice food. This restaurant was or favorite, every dish was a pleasant surprise!
19/08/2025: Food: could be better the open lasagne was missing some salt (even with the added parmigiano, the tomato sauce was a bit blend), otherwise it was very good combination and a nice idea. The swordfish was ok. And the potato and leek piure was a little bit disappointing. It wasn’t bad, but the texture was something else from what we thought it will be. So 3.8-4/5, but I would definitely come back to try some kore visionary food! The service was spotless, thank you very much! Easy 5/5. Atmosphere: well, we had a bunch of people there..smoking and having a pretty loud talk, but this was not the restaurant’s fault, the restaurant looked pretty. 5/5. Thank you!

Ristorante Perle D'Ortigia

18/08/2025: A simply unforgettable dinner in the heart of Ortigia! We started with a breathtaking appetizer: a fresh, flavorful, and top-quality tuna tartare, which immediately raised the bar. Then came the fried fish: crispy, light, perfectly executed, and accompanied by a truly amazing sauce. But the real spectacle came with the first courses: the shrimp and pistachio spaghetti was an explosion of flavor with every bite—sea and land came together in an embrace that was almost touching. And then... the sea urchin carbonara. Words are insane. A dish worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status, a unique and perfectly balanced combination that deserves every possible applause. The staff? Simply exceptional. The chef deserves an award, and the chef's wife was exceptionally kind, always with a sincere and welcoming smile. We left the restaurant so satisfied that we wanted to take up residence nearby, just to return more often. An experience that goes far beyond just eating: here, you can experience a passion for cooking. Highly recommended!
18/08/2025: Elegant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and excellent food. Definitely worth returning. N.B.: They'll soon be changing their name from "Perle d'Ortigia" to "Osteria Illuminata," but the chef will remain the same. Highly recommended.
