Trattoria La Gratella In Firenze

We were recommended this restaurant for a taste of authentic Tuscan cuisine, and we ended up going there two nights in a row. Their ribolitta is very tender and has a pleasant, light flavor, and the baked potatoes and onions are excellent, pairing perfectly with their meat. Unfortunately, we weren't sure we could handle their signature T-bone steak, so we tried the veal T-bone steak. The flavor and aroma are simply amazing, and the meat is very tender, making it the perfect portion for one person. I really wanted to try an authentic Italian carbonara, but once we got to the restaurant, it turned out it wasn't on the menu. The waiter said he could ask the kitchen staff, and I ended up with my perfect carbonara (it's a little salty, but it doesn't interfere with the flavor). The consistency of the sauce and the doneness of the spaghetti were exactly what I expected from an Italian carbonara. The tiramisu was delicate with a light coffee flavor. Incredibly welcoming, yet not overly intrusive, service. All staff are willing to help and explain the menu in detail. We had a minor mishap, but thanks to the waiters' calm and helpful response, the situation didn't become awkward, for which I'm very grateful. Reservations recommended

Friendly staff and delicious steaks

The food at this restaurant was delicious, and the service was excellent: a perfect restaurant. The young waiter served us excellently, and all the other staff also served us with courtesy and smiles. When they found out we were Japanese, they thanked us in Japanese as we left. I would definitely love to return next time I'm in Florence.

I had a great T-bone steak here in Florence. The meat was high quality and cooked just right. It was served on a warm brazier, so the steak stayed warm throughout the meal. Our waiter, Billy, was very friendly and recommended a local wine that paired well with the steak. It was reasonably priced and served in a decanter, which helped bring out its flavor. The staff, including Billy, were all very welcoming and made our dinner pleasant. I suggest making a reservation in advance. It's located a bit outside the main city center, but it’s definitely worth the visit. Also, don't forget to try the Tiramisu for dessert.

A superb spot, far from the tourist traps of the city center. Friendly and welcoming staff, delicious food, and an authentic Italian atmosphere. There were eight of us, but it wasn't a problem at all!

Honestly, I didn't appreciate the cooking of the Florentine steak, it was too raw for me. The rest, especially the warm bread and the livers, were excellent.

We went here for a family Sunday lunch. After the appetizer (we opted for a light one, with simple crostoni), we had a Florentine steak that was simply AMAZING. Our boyfriend had excellent burgers (according to him, the best he's ever had). An excellent Chianti, and to finish, Vin Santo and Tozzetti. Very friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I'll start at the end, with the delicious desserts that will satisfy the palate. The menu is short, perfectly labeled for allergens (celiacs will appreciate it). Superlative meat and well-executed first courses, but not exceptional (the risotto was only decent). The wait staff is attentive and unobtrusive. The tables are a bit cramped, but if your neighbors are friendly, you'll easily make friends. I'll return.

We had dinner on Valentine's Day, and were offered prosecco upon arrival. For appetizers, we chose a charcuterie board and a cheese board with a selection of pecorino, both excellent. Then we had the Florentine steak with baked potatoes, truly delicious. We stopped because we were full and satisfied, but we were disappointed not to have dessert. At the end of the dinner, we were also offered a digestif. The staff was very friendly.
