I had dinner last night at Trattoria La Famiglia and I can only say it was an excellent experience. Excellent food, cooked with passion by the hosts; the hospitality and courtesy of the owners were equally impressive. A highly recommended place, and my compliments again to the entire staff at Trattoria La Famiglia.

This trattoria, while certainly not in the center of Ferrara, offers authentic traditional flavors. We enjoyed excellent cappellacci with a mouth-watering ragù and delicious passatelli in broth. I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a lot and well.

Last night, after a long time away, I returned with a friend to Trattoria La Famiglia in Ospitale, Bondeno. I knew I'd be enjoying good, home-cooked, quality food, and I was certainly not disappointed: an excellent appetizer of traditional cured meats, a sumptuous plate of handmade tagliatelle with meat sauce (a generous amount), and a delicious homemade tiramisu. The atmosphere is informal yet welcoming. The owners are friendly and kind. The prices are reasonable. Very satisfied.

Found it again this evening by chance while in the area for work. This time my curiosity for typical local dishes made me, let's say, make a mistake. The Salamina dish with typical Ferrarese purée is decidedly strong and the flavor for me is not adequate so much so that I had to leave it. However, the owner was very kind in explaining the typology to me. Surely for local palates the dish is traditional.

29/09/2025: They're always very kind and welcoming, they take orders quickly, and the pizzas are delicious and reasonably priced. I also recommend Grandma's tiramisu.

25/01/2025: A unique experience. We only went for dinner, hosted by Cristina and her husband, and we absolutely cannot find a flaw in this wonderful evening. The farmhouse atmosphere is wonderful; every single object placed throughout the space is a sign of family and an indelible memory of the couple who run the agriturismo. The ingredients are excellent and prepared with love and expertise. It's also delightful, if you're curious, to savor the history of the recipes. Mis an Place, with hand-embroidered tablecloths, silver cutlery, and countless details, is nothing less than a testament to the hosts' pleasure in hosting you in their home. What might seem like a collection of objects actually tells a story. The story of these two people who have dedicated their lives to creating a unique place, both for its menu (sturgeon and truffles collected personally by them in the adjacent woods) and for its warmth and hospitality. Thank you very much, see you soon.
