Trattoria La Colombina In Bergamo

My God! What an experience at the Antica Trattoria La Colombina restaurant! The food was wonderful from beginning to end. I ordered casoncelli alla bergamasca and it was simply divine, one of the best things I ate in Italy. My friend ordered polenta and it was also excellent. I paired it with a perfect glass of red wine and, to finish, a delicious affogato with homemade ice cream – all very homemade, carefully prepared and flavorful. The service is impeccable: an extremely cordial and attentive staff. We were there in winter and they even let me open the door to admire the view. And what a view… beautiful, with a wonderful panorama of Bergamo. It's VERY worthwhile. And the best part: we found the price super fair, 50 euros for two people, including a glass of wine. It was a perfect lunch. No exaggeration: it was the best meal I had in Italy during the 15 days I spent there. If you're in the region, go. It's one of those places that becomes a lasting memory.

This trattoria, located just outside the walls of Bergamo Alta, is not very well-known to tourists, making it a reasonably priced restaurant. It has a beautiful setting with a terrace overlooking the Lombardy landscape, excellent food, top-notch service, and indoor and outdoor seating. The service is clean, and the tables are beautifully set. I highly recommend it.

We were there in February 2026. A place that exudes tradition both in the menu and in the location, which has a spectacular view. High-quality traditional dishes are well-presented and modernized for digestibility. The staff is exquisite and helpful. The DoN rating: Location 9, Service 9, Menu 8, Price 8, Digestibility 8.

In Città Alta it is definitely worth dining here with excellent typical local dishes

The view is lovely and a nice restaurant. The Bergamo cured meats, Casoncelli and Tortelli really are amazing and fantastic prices for the quality and quantity.
