Trattoria La Campagnola In Castellamonte

A spartan tavern like it used to be. No menu and only two menus, one with mushrooms and the other with limited choices. Three appetizers, two first courses, and two second courses. The tagliolini with ragù are light on meat; the ones with porcini mushrooms are better and tastier; the fried ones are good. The prices are still reasonable. The owner is friendly and the staff is friendly.

Recommended if you want to eat good, hand-prepared dishes, the taste is that of the dishes of the past

We spent Christmas Day there, but we weren't satisfied. Unfortunately, the terrace wasn't heated enough, and not all the food was excellent.

I stumbled upon it by chance because my motorcycle safety instructor had us stop here for lunch. We started with veal with tuna sauce and mushroom tartlet as appetizers, followed by tagliatelle with mushrooms and a porchetta main course. Everything was excellent, especially the mushrooms in the tagliatelle, so delicious and perfectly cooked they melted in your mouth. You could tell the ingredients were all genuine and locally sourced. If I ever get back to the area, I'll definitely be back!
