Trattoria La Barca In Rho

I had dinner at La Barca in Rho and the experience was very pleasant. It's not just about eating well, but about feeling cared for and involved throughout the evening. Andrea, the owner, welcomes guests with great kindness and explains the dishes with expertise and simplicity, without ever being intrusive. His passion for fish, for the quality of the ingredients, and for wine is clearly evident. The dishes are carefully prepared yet essential, designed to enhance the flavor of the fish without overpowering it. Each course is carefully explained and accompanied by helpful suggestions, creating a direct and pleasant connection with the customer. The wine list is also good, with precise pairing suggestions. A relaxed, well-executed dinner, where you eat well and leave satisfied.

I'm not giving it 6 stars only because the maximum allowed is 5. My mother recommended this place to me, having been there over 40 years ago, and I'm delighted to confirm that its excellence has remained unchanged over time. Andrea is a truly wonderful person, and the dishes are all top-quality, meticulously prepared, and impeccable. There's absolutely nothing to complain about. I hope to return soon. The food here is truly WELL and you can never go wrong! The owner is outgoing, friendly, super energetic, and the place is clean and well-kept, which makes all the difference for me! The only flaw this year is the panettone I bought... Last year it was exceptional, something unique, with black cherries and hazelnuts, so I decided to buy it again, but I realized (I didn't notice when booking, my fault) that it was black cherries and almonds, nothing like the one from 2025. This one has a few black cherries here and there, dry, more like a Pandoro, while the one I had, also at their place for dessert with their vanilla ice cream, was something unforgettable!!!!!...truly a shame...I'm writing this so you can remake the previous recipe...it was much darker with pieces of black cherries, beautiful, soft, moist...please remake it!!!!!! As for the rest, the restaurant is always TOP!!!!!!! Mine is just a constructive review, because your work is to be admired and respected! Thank you so much! 🥰

SPECTACULAR. High-quality food, very professional and courteous service, a well-kept atmosphere, and a very friendly owner. Special mention goes to the artisanal panettone and Moscato d'Asti.

The fish at La Barca is of the highest quality. The first courses are very good, the mixed fried fish is the best I've ever eaten. The millefeuille is also a must-eat dessert.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good (but expensive) food, and definitely not a large portion of pasta. €47 for two, two pasta dishes and a water.
