Trattoria Il Quadretto In Zumaglia

01/08/2026: Intrigued by the menu displayed outside, the outdoor terrace in the Piazza del Duomo, and the reviews in various media, I tried this restaurant for dinner. The setting is very scenic, with an outdoor terrace overlooking the Piazza del Duomo providing a stunning backdrop. However, the outdoor seating arrangement wasn't up to par with the surroundings. The music was coming from speakers, and at times it was too loud. The service was very attentive to my needs and extremely helpful. The menu was truly interesting, with thoughtful pairings. Beautifully presented and delicious. However, if I had to find a flaw, it was the secondary ingredients that were often not noticeable (the lime in the Occhi di Lupo and the mint in the Meagre). The price was fair for the quality of the restaurant.

12/07/2026: A refined restaurant, with perfectly executed, sophisticated dishes. The only flaw, on an evening when the restaurant still had free tables, was the wait for over an hour for the appetizer (a fried egg and mackerel on beetroot puree). It seemed excessive, pushing the diners' patience to the point of nervous gestures and eating all the bread available. Overall, the wait staff were kind and helpful. Perhaps giving all tables equal priority would be a welcome touch of professionalism. Maybe next time.
