Il Paesello is a classic trattoria in Cosenza. The interior is small but welcoming, and on nice, warm days you can dine outside. The restaurant will certainly be busy on Sunday lunchtime, so reservations are highly recommended. The chaos obviously means slower and more complex service. The menu isn't extensive, but it offers a selection of traditional dishes. The pasta with 'nduja and licorice is particularly recommended, as are the gnocchi with porcini mushrooms, and the meatballs as an appetizer. The price is more than fair. 🍷🍝

I went to this little place for dinner, and I had a very good meal, featuring typical Cosenza dishes. The staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend it. Well done 👏👏👏

A delightful discovery on a random Saturday in March. Excellent food and service. Tasty, generous portions. My only complaint: too many tables in a small space. I'll definitely be back and spread the word.
