The food was divine, one of the best Florentine steaks ever. The staff were very friendly, and they even brought us a dish of fagioli all'uccelletta, which wasn't on the menu. Highly recommended.

The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is excellent, traditional, and cooked with real meaning and soul, and absolutely not touristy. I personally recommend the Peposo. The house wine is a super-cheap, yet drinkable, good-quality Chianti. I recommend it not only to tourists who want to avoid the usual TikTok restaurants, but also to Italians who want a good Tuscan dinner.

Excellent trattoria Excellent Tuscan trattoria just steps from the central station. Excellent traditional Tuscan dishes. Friendly and fast service. Excellent value for money. Reservations are recommended, especially when events are taking place at the nearby Fortezza da Basso.

Excellent dinner with local food. We chose a platter and an appetizer of bruschetta and parmigiana. Super good! The first courses were also good. Fast and courteous service.

I'm surprised by the quality of the meat (excellent) but hesitant about the quantity served, a 1kg Florentine steak. I find it quite unusual to leave the table after eating a 1kg Florentine steak and a portion of baked potatoes and still be hungry...

This restaurant near the train station in Florence offers a fantastic balance between taste and quantity. However, the portions are so large that it's difficult to order everything you're interested in in one sitting. I'd like to try it again.

01/03/2026: We always love coming back. Everything is delicious and well-kept. From the appetizers to the bread to the side dishes. This time we had the steak, and, what can I say...it melted in your mouth! I also really appreciated the attention to cleanliness and the fresh flowers on all the tables.
18/02/2026: GREAT EXPERIENCE! Very nice place with excellent food and top-notch service. We must return to try other dishes on the menu.

15/03/2026: This place was recommended to us by a friend who's a foodie. Located in the heart of Florence, just steps from Piazza della Repubblica, the atmosphere is that of a typical old-fashioned trattoria. We were served by Giulio, friendly, professional, and quick-witted, who puts you at ease and makes you feel right at home. We went for dinner and had a classic Florentine steak, grilled and accompanied by baked potatoes. We also had an excellent bottle of red wine. What can I say, the steak was excellent. We had such a good time that the day after our dinner we decided to return for lunch, and they even confirmed what they had said the night before. We'll definitely be back.
