Abundant food and decent quality, very friendly staff which leads to a homely and pleasant environment, the only note is the price... the €40 per head with house wine and just one course per head is a tad too much. However, to try again for further evaluation .

Very good traditional restaurant discovered thanks to our host Laura de Gocce balsamich. A little lost in the choice, the waiter gave very good advice and we enjoyed ourselves.

We went for lunch on a Sunday. We found a place by booking for 1.30pm.
The restaurant is a typical village trattoria. Since the first diner was already sitting at the table while I was looking for parking (when the place is half full the seats are already sold out), I entered last. I asked which table was and a rather bewildered waitress was unable to help me.
I found my table by wandering around the rooms on the ground floor.
We had a plate of tortellini in broth, very good, and a mixed grill of game. The venison was a little too dry. Overcooked.
The desserts are typical trattoria desserts, a trifle and a panna cotta. Those are good too.
Prices are average. All in all ok. I wouldn't take game anymore.

Antipasto gnocco e tigelle (abbastanza buoni), stracchino e lardo buoni ma l'affettato a 7,00€ piuttosto scarso in qualità e ridicolo in quantità.
Primi: maccheroni al pettine al cinghiale davvero buoni, tortelloni verdi al mascarpone ripieni di carne e porcini, ripieno inesistente e completamente insapore, si percepiva solo il dolce del condimento di "panna/latte".
Secondi: umido di cervo eccezionale, polenta alla brace con funghi; i funghi, senza alcun sapore, ad occhi chiusi non potevi riconoscerli, si sentiva solo il pomodoro.
Porcini fritti e alla brace: piccole strisce e qualche pezzetto, discreti (anche se la metà di quelli fritti erano salatissimi) ma 2 piccoli piatti € 16,00 (viene proposto fuori menù e non viene menzionato il costo).
Caffè decaffeinato imbevibile.
Vino Sangiovese Riserva in bottiglia €17,00 discreto.
Conto finale € 115,00 perchè obbligatorio, e non segnalato al cliente ma sorpresa nello scontrino, l'8% (o forse il 10% non ricordo) di mancia. In pratica, in 2, se mangi e spendi, lasci €8,00/€10,00 di mancia senza nemmeno saperlo.
La location è piuttosto banale ma il servizio è gentile e abbastanza attento.
Merita, evidentemente, solo per la selvaggina.

Every time I come back home to my family I'll make sure to come at this amazing place for a proper traditional lunch.
If you are looking to impress a girlfriend or just to have a good time with your friends or family I recommend you this place.
The food is absolutely delicious, you won't find much better in the area.

Good food, a bit of a wait, for the holiday it is understandable. High prices, out of market, increased costs on second courses and desserts. Excessive.
Overall a good restaurant, with special dishes such as wild boar and roe deer.
I'm sure there's something to improve but as a tavern it's good and we like to come there every now and then.
Staff always extremely friendly.
Low costs.
