Whenever we're in Aosta, Hostaria del Calvino is a regular stop. Excellent food, from the mixed platter to polenta concia, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, etc. The pizzas are also truly excellent. Yesterday, Sunday, September 28th, I brought a group of friends who were delighted. See you in December for the Christmas markets.

I was sceptical to visit due to some negative reviews. Man was I glad my friends already asked if we could have dinner with 6 people. We sat outside (was chilly due to some wind 🌬️) and had a great time. The food was absolutely marvelous and we didn't have to wait for long. Service was great also. This restaurant definitely deserves a five star rating....

Cibo squisito, il menù è molto vario, propone piatti tipici valdostani e non. Deliziosa cucina tipica con sapori autentici... davvero memorabile. Porzioni abbondanti. Camerieri gentili. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante durante il nostro viaggio e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti. Abbiamo assaggiato diversi piatti tipici, tutti preparati con ingredienti freschi e genuini, e si sentiva davvero la cura nella cucina tradizionale. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo: porzioni abbondanti e prezzi assolutamente onesti. Anche la posizione è perfetta, comoda da raggiungere e in una zona molto caratteristica. Consiglio assolutamente questo ristorante a chi vuole vivere un'autentica esperienza culinaria locale!

31/05/2025: Professional and competent owners. We had our wedding reception there and they were wonderful. Great location and food appreciated by all the guests. I can't comment on the rooms because I haven't visited them.

24/08/2025: We went for dinner, and they welcomed us even without a reservation. I don't understand some of the negative reviews, but we had a wonderful time. Friendly service (best wishes to the soon-to-be mommy). The Tomino Moa was amazing. Polenta concia with venison, which my husband polished off. The risotto was excellent. The kids' menu was comprehensive and tasty. The panna cotta and caramel were definitely homemade. We really enjoyed it! Congratulations and best wishes <3
