We have visited this restaurant twice in the past month and had outstanding experiences both times. From the moment you walk in the door, you are treated like family. We enjoyed attentive service from always kind and helpful staff. We usually order the daily specials and they are always excellent. The sliced beef with roasted potatoes and spaghetti are particular favorites. The desserts are homemade and really delicious. Easy walking distance from the walls just outside the Porta Santa Maria.

I dined here for a company dinner, and despite the large number of guests, which often puts the kitchen under pressure, the overall quality remained decidedly high. The prosciutto and cheese appetizer was excellent, accompanied by a truly delicious cecina. The only downside: the bread didn't arrive until we'd already finished the platters, a shame because it would have paired well with the cured meats. The first courses were the highlight of the evening: the tordelli were excellent and delicate, truly well-made. The risotto was also surprising (it tasted like cacio e pepe), perfectly creamed and perfectly cooked. The mixed grill, unfortunately, was a little uneven for my personal taste: the chicken still had traces of blood and was pink inside, while the beef, being very thinly sliced, was overcooked and consequently a bit tough. The rosticciana deserves a special mention, however, as it was truly excellent and flavorful. We ended on a high note with dessert: a divine tiramisu, prepared according to tradition, truly one of the best we've had recently. Overall, we had a great time. It's understandable that a business dinner can't be as precise as the à la carte service, but given the high expectations a restaurant of this caliber rightly generates, a little more attention to cooking the meat would have made the experience perfect. I would definitely return to try the à la carte menu!

Excellent cuisine, especially the Regina steak and the Renosu organic red wine, as well as the owner and staff, who are always very kind, friendly, and offer valuable advice. A perfect place to spend a relaxing evening with excellent food!

A great restaurant outside the Lucca city center but a very short walk outside the Santa Maria gate. We came for lunch and no one was disappointed. The food was good and the service was good and very friendly. They have a few options for a fixed priced 12 Euro lunch along with other options. I will return soon and I am recommending it to others.

A modern trattoria serving traditional cuisine with a twist. Excellent seafood dishes, tasty appetizers, and hearty, delicious meals. They recommended an excellent white wine—RENOSU, a truly delicious 12% Vermentino. We came to this place thanks to the recommendation of the owner of the accommodation we booked for the weekend, and I'd say it was a great recommendation. Excellent, high-quality food and super friendly staff. We ate wonderfully, from the appetizer (we had cecine) to the first courses (tordelli lucchesi and tortelli alla zucca) and finally the desserts (apple, pine nut, and raisin tart with vanilla cream and hazelnut semifreddo). Everything was truly excellent and highly recommended! And we saw some truly tempting dishes pass by (burgers, fried fish, and much more). Congratulations!
