Beautiful and harmonious trattoria on the hill, with kind and helpful staff, and very competent. Excellent local cuisine (be careful that the cutlet is in the "thick and stewed" style and not "thin and crispy") with some vegetarian dishes (the onion soup is amazing, worth the trip alone). Good quality wines. Dogs allowed!

We had lunch at Gilberto's for my mother's birthday, with a large table of 35 guests! The organization was perfect, with the owner and the head chef who were really helpful and kind. They also allowed us to use a room for post-lunch activities, really appreciated!
The space is very large, with high ceilings, masonry walls and wood paneling, and a pleasant atmosphere for both large groups and couples. There are two convenient parking areas just outside the restaurant.
But let's get to the food, which turned out to be truly impressive! Classic appetizers with some cured meats and good, slightly greasy crescentine, followed by an encore of first courses: nests all'Oriana (an original recipe, only to order) and green tortelloni with butter and sage, both truly delicious and with enormous portions! The second courses were no different, with veal with mushrooms among the best I've ever eaten 😍 and braised meat in red wine which was also good albeit with some ribs, all accompanied by various side dishes.
Finally, for dessert we had a surprise omelette (another original recipe only to order), made with a delicious cream ice cream interior and a warm meringue topping. All accompanied by water and various bottles of good white and red wine.
The service was kind and unobtrusive and as already mentioned the portions were enormous, so much so that with the leftovers we ate as a family for another 4 days.
In total we spent €60 per person, an absolutely correct price considering the quantity, quality and variety of food, as well as the organisation.
Overall it was a great party and we had a really good time! Without a doubt we will return to Gilberto for some other lunch or dinner! 🌟

Locale addobbato e illuminato in maniera eccellente per le festività natalizie.
Ottime tagliatelle ai porcini freschi, eccellente fiorentina di chianina (la irlandese non era disponibile, anche se nel conto è stato inavvertitamente applicato il suo prezzo), friggione leggero e ottimo gelato con amarene. Sangiovese superiore ad accompagnare il tutto, ottimo.
Personale attento e cortese, atmosfera calda e accogliente. Prezzo leggermente sopra le righe, se si considera la location non proprio a portata di mano.
