Best lunch since I moved to Emilia!
I went to Trattoria Gilberto in Monte San Pietro and I can say with certainty that it was the best lunch since I moved to Emilia.
I started with spectacular tagliatelle al ragù: homemade pasta, rough, tasty, with a rich and perfectly balanced ragù. A dish that tastes like Sunday, home, tradition.
Then I enjoyed a wonderful plate of tigelle and crescentine with a generous mix of local cured meats and cheeses. The pickles were delicious, but the real surprise was the pesto from Modena: simply the best I have ever eaten. Fragrant, intense, made with real ingredients and expert hands.
The environment is welcoming, simple and authentic, with a view of the hills that completes the experience. The staff is kind, helpful, present at the right time.
Honest prices, generous portions, sincere flavors.
A place where you eat with taste and return with pleasure.
Trattoria Gilberto is a must-see for those who love true Emilian cuisine.

The food is very good and the location is worth the stop. Prices are slightly higher than the average for the area, but nothing scary.

Trattoria located in the hills of Bologna that serves traditional food, zero km cold cuts, homemade pasta, good quality meat and a good wine list.
The restaurant is rustic inside, outside there is a beautiful terrace that offers a beautiful view of the garden and the surrounding hills, certainly there would be need of some renovation work of the premises but all in all it is a very pleasant place.
The staff is attentive and helpful, the price is fair and proportionate to the quality,
Definitely to be recommended.

Lunch on Sunday! We ate really well. Appetizer 👌 first course 👌 second course 👌 dessert very good. Friendly and helpful waiters. I would gladly return.

We spent a Sunday lunch in the outdoor area of the restaurant. Very nice, excellent food. Certainly not too cheap, but excellent quality. Unfortunately we found a waiter a bit snobbish which is never pleasant, while all the others were very kind and helpful. Obviously since it was crowded we waited a bit before receiving the dishes. All in all a good experience, I would go back.
Excellent tortellini and crescentine if you like them thicker and "bready".
Maybe I would make the cold cuts platter a bit more varied, I missed the mortadella!

First time in this place, with a very traditional and authentic flavour: and in fact the cuisine did not disappoint expectations!
The appetizer of cured meats and other tasty products accompanied by excellent crescentine - perhaps the best tasted in the area - really satisfied us.
Negative note: being a holiday, the very crowded place made the service slow and incomplete, so much so that some dishes and drinks did not arrive despite our requests and, at a certain point, we had to give up.
The staff's apologies are ready and appreciated, but we would have appreciated even just a bitter offer from the house as a partial and concrete repair of the disservice.
We will give it another opportunity on a quieter day because, however, we are satisfied with what we tasted.

Mancavo da molti anni ma con piacere ho constatato che la tradizione del locale non è cambiata sia negli arredi che nella qualità delle proposte gastronomiche. Ambiente datato ma sempre accogliente e con il fascino che solo le vecchie trattorie del territorio riescono a mantenere ed offrire. Tigelle e crescentine di ottima fattura accompagnate con Salumi, formaggi, pesto e sottili di qualità. Grigliata di carne abbondante con inserimento di tagliata per la quale l'uso del coltello è sembrato superfluo. Di buona fattura i dolci home made. Visti passare (ma non assaggiati) primi piatti invitanti ed abbondanti per i quali torneremo sicuramente. Personale educato, gentile e "sul pezzo". Rapporto qualità prezzo leggermente sbilanciato sul prezzo ma nulla che non valga la pena di non andare.
