In my opinion, one of the best trattorias in Trieste. Edi is good and friendly, as is his daughter. Yesterday's spaghetti with monumental mussels was the same. Keep up the good work, well done! Tonight, yet another excellent pasta with pedoci.

The best value for money in Trieste, the cuisine is top notch.

It's not a beautiful place, nor a relaxing or curious view, but, as happens with some people, once you get to know them, you no longer pay attention to their appearance, which isn't exactly the best. This is the case, in my opinion, at Gianni's, starting with the service. A warm welcome from the start, kindness, and that familiar feel that makes you feel like you've always been there. The cuisine is meticulously prepared, appealing to those who appreciate the tradition of simple dishes and those seeking delicious treats for the palate. The tiramisu, then, is truly superb! The bill is average, honest as you'd expect. I recommend it. Unfortunately, it's been under new management, and this review is no longer valid. Updated July 26, 2025. It would be interesting to see where the chef has gone!!!
