Family celebration. Superb 10-course seafood appetizer, including raw ham. Perfect seafood risotto. Fried shrimp and calamari that tasted like they were caught that day. Sorbet flavored with real lemon. Our chef is our chef.

Everything was perfect, as always. True Taranto tradition is second to none. Professionalism and quality of ingredients. Freshly cooked. Truly a big family.

Incredible food, staff is very coordinated and super friendly. Best meal I've had in years of travelling. I can't recommend this enough. Even after growing up near seafood, the chef still impressed me with the great quality seafood and very tasty dishes. Will remember this meal for years. The degustation menu is very well thought and everything is super fresh and incredibly tasty. There is no wrong choice when it comes to the dishes. Everything is just levels above the usual restaurants. Prices are very low if you think about the quality and the amount of food served. I want to congratulate everyone at Gesù Cristo. Fantastic work.

Don’t eat in the crumby tourist traps in Taranto, but come here! From online reviews, it’s suspiciously good, but my friend suggested this place so I went. The kitchen and toilets are clean and the employees are on their toes,—no slow and sleepy staff. Lots of locals eat here,— it seems,—or at least not foreign tourists. I had the cozze and one aracini. Anyway, the owner saw that I was new and seemingly took care of me with some surprises and samples. I’d come back with someone next time and have the full sampling menu. It was a Sunday and closers at 3 pm, but people were still warmly welcomed to sit as closing time approached. Anyway, I was waited on by 4 people in clean uniforms. The atmosphere is just friendly and clean with bright natural light in the day. Still, it’s a good place for a date. Too bad I didn’t order the wine, it is reasonably priced. To get here, you do have to walk a little out of the tourist areas, which is just great for everyone. BTW, the staff was happy to use better English than the tourist traps with unprofessional pushy people. I will return and ask for the bill before I pay next time! Anyway, I would not come here if you are on a tight budget!
