Taranto's historic trattoria, run by the Caso family...
Extensive and comprehensive menu. The quantity and freshness of the ingredients are top notch.
The staff is always cheerful, friendly, and professional.
Just a few minutes from the city center and with local parking available.

I'm not from the area, but as soon as I entered, the welcome was positive, as was the person who followed us to order. The place is nice, the quality of the products is good, although the fried food would have been better with more breading (it was basically missing). The appetizers and risotto were good, the quality/price ratio was average, I recommend it.

Exceptional!
We've been visiting Italian restaurants for 10 years, and, along with "Drogheria della Rosa" in Bologna and "Da Gino" on the port of Pisa, "Trattoria Gesù Cristo" is truly our favorite. We had dinner there, then lunch there the very next day—that's how good it is! ... Always with the same delight.

We went there on Saturday for lunch with our dog, enjoying the 45 euro fixed-price menu. The location was welcoming. The wait staff was professional and attentive. The menu included: appetizer, two samples of first and second courses, desserts, liqueur, coffee, and soft drinks. Everything was excellent and plentiful. Highly recommended!

One of the most iconic and characteristic restaurants in authentic Taranto, serving always the freshest seafood. Service is attentive and fast, and the family-run business has been passed down from father to son. Recently renovated, it has retained its authenticity in the interior dining rooms, and now offers even more seating at the softly lit outdoor tables. You can choose either the €40 fixed menu with a wealth of appetizers, two tastings of first and second courses (drinks not included), or à la carte, choosing the appetizers first and then a choice of dishes. A selection of local wines and assorted sparkling wines are also available.

I booked a dinner for seven people. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly. We started with several courses of appetizers chosen by them. We also had double samples of generous first courses, fried fish, sorbet, and dessert, and some of us ordered liqueurs and coffee. The quality of the fresh food was excellent. I had a pleasant evening with my family.

We had lunch by choosing the "Tasting" option.
A five-course appetizer (octopus salad, marinated anchovies, gratin mussels, peppered mussels—I can't remember which course), a choice of first and second courses, and a sorbet for €40 per person.
Everything was really good and well-prepared, in just the right portions.
For the first course, a tube of beans and mussels.
Good, but perhaps a little too delicate.
For the second course, a swordfish fillet.
Excellent, tender, and flavorful.
