Trattoria Gesu Cristo In Taranto

Tonight, for the first time, I dined with friends at the Gesù Cristo Restaurant in Taranto. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the staff were kind and helpful, and the food was truly excellent: the appetizers were exquisite—octopus, marinated anchovies, stewed cuttlefish, mussels au gratin, and sautéed mussels—but the icing on the cake was the seafood arancini, delicately fried and with a super tender interior. The spaghetti with clams and the sea bream in salt were truly exquisite. The sorbet was a fitting end to a perfect dinner. I thank the owner, Pasquale Caso, who, with enthusiasm and great kindness, told us the story of the restaurant's founding and its unique name. A place that completely satisfied us and where we will return every time we come to Taranto.

I don't eat much fish... I was here 8 months and I ate EVERYTHING! I loved the fish! I highly recommend it

We had the tasting menu. What can I say: we were thrilled. Simple but excellent Italian dishes. Great service.

I thank my colleague who made me discover this place. I was amazed by the quality and service that were served to us. The food was more than excellent, especially given the quality of the raw material. A special credit goes to the staff who were able to advise us and guide us in the tasting, from the appetizer to the first course to conclude with an excellent fried fish.

Lunch with tasting menu dictated by the waiters without seeing the menu so they decide what to eat 😅 it bothered us a bit, bill without details only the total for transparency we would need 🤷🏻‍♂️, dish served average without praise without infamy.

Jesus Christ ALWAYS A GUARANTEE. One of the best places to eat fish in Taranto. Pasquale and Alessandro and all the staff are very kind people. I have been to their place with friends many times. At Jesus Christ with their fixed menu you can eat as much as you like but above all everything is of super abundant quality and quantity. I highly recommend going there and tasting their appetizers, my favorites are the grilled mussels. Even the first courses are delicious, they always recommend the catch of the day. As second courses they almost always present salted fish or fried paranza or in any case of your choice. Everything is always perfect. I will continue to be their supporter, but above all I want to compliment their really good homemade tiramisu. It therefore deserves 5 stars.

Domenica 19 gennaio 2025 trovandomi a Taranto x giuramento nipote nei Carabinieri ricordando pescheria Gesù Cristo adesso gestita nipote in ristorante. Niente da dire sia del pesce fresco cozze anche squisite nel cucinare. Se trovate passare lo consiglio
