Trattoria Gallo In Brescia

09/07/2026: A few words about the restaurant; perhaps this will help clarify the somewhat confusing comments here. We were there today, and here's my conclusion after dinner and a chat with the owners: The Cacciatore restaurant, known from, for example, the Osterie d'Italia guide, is located 100 meters further up the hill and is indeed closed—too old, and probably too large. The owners are currently reinventing themselves at the address listed here. Initially as '2.zero'. Lovely terrace, evening sun. Lounge music. Small menu, not particularly exciting culinarily, but solid. Very friendly service; I found the unsolicited wine recommendations a bit excessive. An expansion is planned soon, upstairs, with a larger menu again in the Cacciatore style; the recipes are currently being tested. We had a pleasant evening and wish them much success for the future!

04/07/2026: The trattoria has changed its name; it's now called Zero and is located a little further down the same street. Excellent atmosphere, very good, and high-quality food. A special mention also goes to Hector, the sommelier; his recommendations were excellent and perfectly suited to the food we ordered. On top of that, we were lucky enough to catch a live band called Whitestrings playing in the area. Everything was fantastic!
