Trattoria Fita In Borgo tossignano

Quality food, excellent service. The atmosphere is a bit dated. I'll be back.

My wife and I went there for lunch on a Sunday. We already knew the place because we'd been there before. The quality has always remained the same.

A charming old restaurant. Always a pleasant atmosphere. The cuisine is family-style, yet refined and of excellent quality. A vast selection of wines. Top-notch meats cooked on the open grill. Always recommended, and a must-try in autumn for dishes featuring porcini mushrooms and truffles.

Fita isn't a trattoria. It's a life experience. The quality is incredible. The plating, while some dishes are meticulously crafted, is slightly less so in others. I'd still choose the ones where the plating is so-so because it's truly divine. They offer daily menus. The waiter is extremely knowledgeable. He seriously knows everything. The chefs are incredible. I've been to Michelin-starred restaurants all over Italy, where I've eaten much, but much worse. The wine selection is out of this world. I prefer Feluga for a variety of reasons. But the guys are on point and know what to recommend. If I had to choose between eating everywhere every day or once a year at Fita, I'd choose Fita without regrets. IT'S THE BEST PLACE IN EMILIA ROMAGNA.

I was also undecided about the fifth star for service...go there and find out... It's worth it...

Trattoria Fita is popular with locals. In fact it was recommended to me by someone from the area. It's found in Borgo Tossignano and Google Maps will lead you straight there. It's just a stone's throw away from a lovely park area with good paid parking facilities and children's play area. That said it's not easy to park in the street of the restaurant. Fita is a rustic restaurant with the cooking done on an open fire, and an outside dining area out front. That's a bit hot during the day. The kitchen also provides wonderful pasta dishes. We had the grilled meat option which was delightful. All in all, we would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Unfortunately I don't live near this restaurant, or maybe luckily because I could have squandered all my wages on typical delicacies of Romagna cuisine... asparagus larded with ham in cream cheese, roast rabbit and guinea fowl, various types of pasta, homemade, with vegetable or meat sauces, grilled meats and much more. Even a mashed potato flavored with parsley, oil and garlic to taste or an artichoke cut in vinaigrette is something you remember. All served with friendliness and kindness. Having tried this small and welcoming place twice, it has already induced addiction... alas!!

A family-run place from times gone by that exceeds all expectations in terms of quality of food and wine, the place is a bit small so it's best to book. I'll be back for sure
