Excellent food, shame about the very slow service

If you go by the looks of the place from the road, you would be uninspired to stop at this place. It would be a great loss indeed. This is a superb place to stop to eat. The food is homemade at it shows, extremely tasty and impeccable in all aspects. Decor is rustic, but the tables are elegant without being pretentious... we liked it. The service is outstanding. Not only they accepted us very late close to closing time, but they served us without any rush. Apart from the waitress, both the owner and he chef came by our table to see if we were satisfied with what they had offered... which was delicious and cooked to perfection. We also forgot our credit card and the chef brought it to us, a 30 minute drive away, despite we had told him we would come back later for it. Two plates of home made gnocchi with ragu and a large plate of tagliata beef with potatoes, grilled veg, half a litre of wine, coffee and liquer set us back just 55 Euro. This was by far the best value for money place we ate at in our 10-day stay in Aosta Valley. Very Highly Recommended.

We went for a family lunch.... their friendliness is truly magnificent and the food delicious, service average, perhaps the presence of several inexperienced girls slowed it down a bit but overall good!! We will return to eat Aosta Valley dishes!!

Very hospitable place, good food, very family-friendly even for children

Recommended place, everything was delicious, the apple risotto was superb (I had seconds) and the goat, it was cut like butter (I would have had seconds). The girl who looked after me (Martina) was very kind, and the owner asked me several times how things were going.

Lunch with typical Aosta Valley dishes, abundant and tasty. Very friendly staff, I highly recommend it, and excellent value for money! Five well-deserved stars, we will definitely be back

La trattoria Favre è un tipico locale a conduzione familiare, fuori dai circuiti turistici, a 10 minuti dall'abitato di Nus. Qui è possibile assaporare la vera cucina del territorio, immersi nella calma (del paesaggio circostante e del personale del locale). Non c'è un menu: i piatti vengono presentati dai camerieri a voce. Gli antipasti (divisi in più portate) sono ottimi e permettono di assaggiare più prodotti. Ci sono pochi primi e pochi secondi, indice di qualità delle materie prime utilizzate. Le dosi sono assolutamente adeguate, permettono di assaggiare più piatti. Siamo stati a pranzo in tre e abbiamo mangiato antipasti, due primi, un secondo e due dolci. Il tutto per 70€ totali: per la qualità del cibo, un prezzo assolutamente competitivo. Attenzione ai giorni di apertura: il locale è infatti aperto solamente dal venerdì alla domenica. Se avete fretta o cercate un menu turistico ed appariscente da postare sui social, andate da un'altra parte: questo è un luogo per chi apprezza la cucina del territorio.

Una trattoria contemporanea dove gustare le prelibatezze della Valle, Abbiamo assaporato dagli antipasti ai primi e le carni tutto ben farcito dai contorni . Che dire.. Giorgio è davvero un uomo che mette dedizione nel suo lavoro .
