Typical Maremma trattoria for 3 generations. Located a few kilometers from Capalbio, towards the hinterland, it presents itself as a very simple and rustic structure which at first glance may seem anonymous, but once you cross the threshold you lose this sensation.

The real discovery, however, is the menu, made from typical Maremma cuisine, made of fresh products from the neighboring area. Typical appetizers, first courses made with homemade pasta and seasoned with tasty and delicious sauces. The strength of the place is the wood embers which, used with wisdom and with the use of meats from both national and foreign sources, are presented at the table with soapstone to finish cooking as one wishes. (Respectable maturation and marbling). Finally, the desserts, also home made, conclude the evening pleasantly. Honest account that reflects the use of quality raw materials.

We went to this restaurant during the Christmas holidays. My family and I all had different things. There is no doubt that the dishes are very good, not only meat but also with typical and valuable appetizers.

Some time has passed since the last time I ate in this restaurant and today I must say I had further confirmation of the quality of the menu and the courtesy of those who manage the place. Typical dishes cooked with quality raw materials, experience and love. It's a bit like going back to eating at your grandmother's who used to put that simple dish on the table for you but which only she knew how to make. And then Her Majesty the steak... We would travel several kilometers just for her but then... You can also find the cheeses... The first courses... Fried sage and what do you do? Don't order them? :-). And let's not forget the pomegranate sorbet, the tart and the little fruits filled with ice cream (walnut and chestnut)... Delicious...
The environment is simple and perhaps a little freshening up (without changing the style for goodness sake!) would be in order, but the pleasure of being welcomed with a smile is priceless. Smiles as bright as the crystal drops of the various chandeliers that hang from the ceiling and project you into an atmosphere of times gone by.
A place where you always return with pleasure.

Appena arriva la descrizione del menù arrivano i problemi , però se fai come abbiamo fatto noi non hai l'assillo di scegliere , prendi tutto quello che ti propongono nel giorno e non hai rimpianti .
Mangi bene spendi il giusto .
Magari se non sei un abile mangiatore ordina un po' alla volta ,le porzioni sono generose.

Una vera scoperta...location vintage, cibo superbo. Antipasti e carne spettacolare, il maialino alla brace morbido e succoso, il pecorino al forno e i fiori di zucca fritti fatti alla perfezione.
