One of our historic trattorias, many memories tie me to this place, Donnini means family, it means taking a dip into memories, Sunday lunches with the whole family were a classic.

I stopped in for lunch after not being there for several years. The place is nice and the service is adequate. The first course was good, but the fried food was absolutely disappointing. The chicken was raw and the whole thing lacked flavor, while the bill was quite high. I don't think we'll see each other again.

An excellent restaurant/trattoria. They serve excellent traditional dishes and a great selection of wines. The rooms are welcoming and exude a Tuscan atmosphere, both in the atmosphere and the smell. Highly recommended.

Business dinner during a meeting in Florence. Excellent food, both the appetizers and the meats. The house red wine was also very good. Special mention goes to the wonderful young woman serving the tables, who possesses a truly talented savoir-faire. It's just a shame it's 250 km from home, otherwise I'd definitely return at least a couple of times a month.

17/02/2026: We had a lovely lunch at Vini La Mescita, and it was exactly the kind of place we hope to find when traveling. The atmosphere is small, calm, and artisanal — the sort of intimate space where you can relax, enjoy a glass of wine, and actually hear each other talk. The food was wonderful. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite — fresh, thoughtful, and carefully prepared without being fussy. The portion sizes were just right for lunch: satisfying and well-balanced without leaving you overly full for the rest of the afternoon exploring Florence. It felt authentic and unpretentious, with a quiet confidence in both the kitchen and the wine selection. We would happily return the next time we’re in Florence. Highly recommended.
