Fantastic food , home made style, good sized portions, varied.

For years, when I want to have a nice meal of good, genuine food, I've been coming here. All homemade dishes with excellent quality products. Hospitality and service at the top. Excellent panorama. Advised.

Typical Piedmontese trattoria. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a simple aperitif. The starters are good and the homemade first courses are excellent. The Tajarin with porcini mushrooms and the agnolotti with roast sauce are absolutely recommended. Friendly and helpful service. The only flaw: if you have to go to the bathroom, ask carefully for information to avoid finding yourself in a dark room guarded by a black Rothvailer (as happened to us).

If you want to live a sincere and competent experience of true Piedmontese cuisine, in a healthy mountain environment welcomed by kind staff, Trattoria Fontane is the best thing you can have; don't miss it!

Arrived by chance but it was a great discovery! The restaurant is almost invisible: you can reach it on foot (150m) from the road that goes up to the Fontane hill. Large outdoor terrace and, given the beautiful day, we ask if we can sit down to eat even if we haven't booked. We were told yes, without any problem (and today it is rare to sit down to eat without having booked!). Let's have an aperitif while waiting to start lunch. We are served 5 starters: Albese-style meat, veal with tuna sauce, peppers with anchovies, leek cake and herb roll, grilled aubergines in oil and, a compliment from the chef, soused courgettes. Simple but really good dishes! Continuing, my partner had agnolotti with roast sauce (very good) and I had roast beef with carrots and fried potatoes as a side dish (all excellent). Cake and coffee. Very kind and helpful staff! Bill: €30 each. Today with €30 you can eat a pizza, a farinata, a dessert and drink a beer in a noisy, crowded place, where maybe you have had a hard time trying to find parking and you also have to hurry to free up the table! At the Fontane restaurant none of this: you enjoy the pleasure of sitting at the table, eating in peace surrounded by a beautiful valley! Long live places like these!!!

Warm and welcoming place, with very friendly staff. The menu includes typical Piedmontese dishes with very rich portions. The dishes were really excellent. The price for a tasting dinner is very honest for what is offered
