Trattoria della Gloria In Milano

We came for dinner on a Sunday evening, 3 of us plus a naughty little boy. The service was very kind, understanding and fast. All dishes were excellent and the portions quite generous. Advised!!

Quality ingredients, modern cuisine, welcoming environment

Trattoria della Gloria was a great discovery. Run by 3 guys, in an old tavern environment, it offers a limited menu with particular and tasty dishes. As an appetizer we had the liver pâté accompanied by bread with raisins and raw Montignoso sausage with radicchio and pickled cauliflower. Followed by a pie with potato pâté and Jerusalem artichokes and sheep stew and a savarin with venison tongue and meatballs and sautéed mushrooms. To finish, a tiramisu. [I hope I have correctly summarized what I ate]. To drink a bottle of Sangiovese Porcaloca. All for 50 each. The strong points are definitely the food, very good and unique. The dishes may seem small, but they are not. A special mention to Giovanni for his enthusiasm and involvement in explaining the dishes on the menu to us. If we have to find something wrong, the tiramisu made with bread, and not with ladyfingers, which tasted only of bread and not tiramisu and the excessive noise once the place filled up, despite the sound-absorbing panels on the ceiling.

Small restaurant near the canal where I had a pleasant lunch. The menu is very short, a great credit for me, and very oriented towards vegetables and cheeses. The service is very friendly and informal. The location is small and a little noisy but very well looked after. The dishes were generally well executed although I found them rather small in quantity especially considering the type of format (family restaurant) and the price. In general everything was very pleasant, the location, the food and the service; unfortunately what is absolutely not acceptable is that the bill for a lunch for two people of only vegetables without any protein and in modest quantities came to cost €110. I would say that the prices to be acceptable compared to the quantities/ingredients proposed should be 15% lower. It's a shame because I would have returned but with these prices I won't.

Traditional restaurant renovated and renovated, with refined and tasty cuisine, warm and attentive service and good wines. There are also several vegetarian dishes. Optimal.

It's the second time I've come here, having wanted to give the place a second chance, but unfortunately my opinion hasn't changed. Excellent service and environment but that's not enough! The food is forgettable plus skimpy portions even for the average in Milan. Wine served in French bistro glasses at the same price as a standard glass. Seems like a little trick that wasn't needed...

Raramente scrivo recensioni, ma questo posto la merita proprio perché ha centrato in pieno l’obiettivo: materie prime ricercate e di altissima qualità, lavorate con fantasia e maestria, servite con simpatia e cordialità. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, nessuna fretta per lasciare il tavolo (nonostante fosse il 22 dicembre e fuori imperversasse la folla natalizia ) perciò consigliatissimo per un pranzo/cena in famiglia o con amici. Grazie ragazzi siamo stati davvero bene, torneremo (da Genova..)!

A beautiful lunch on our first day in Italy. Passionate, interested, hospitable staff offering delicious fare at reasonable prices in a cosy and warm dining space. There was a brilliant Sunday lunch time hum and we so enjoyed being a part of it!

Cucina innovativa pur ancorata alla tradizione. Porzioni giuste, vini naturali/biodinamici spiegati bene, ma soprattutto personale gentile e preparato quasi da padroni di casa e l’atmosfera che si crea e’ di conseguenza molto bella.
