The food is excellent; the restaurant is strategically located in the port of Anzio with a beautiful view. Quick and efficient service. Prices are slightly above the average 25 carbonara, but they're offset by the excellent quality of the ingredients. Excellent options for those who don't eat fish, unlike other restaurants in the area.

I had different expectations, given that it's a renowned restaurant. It was a summer evening, with a lot of people sitting around, perhaps too many, given that the tables are close together and you end up sharing dinner with your neighbors. A lot of staff were confusing and arguing among themselves. The food was nothing special. The octopus salad was bland, with too much celery and old carrots. The eight-course appetizer was neither good nor bad. Fried calamari and shrimp, and a fresh swordfish dish totaled €175. Perhaps for the same price, given what we ate, there are places I prefer. Honestly, I wouldn't go back. I don't recommend it.

Everything was perfect, always a must-visit for excellent seafood in Anzio. The chef and his staff are excellent.

They were incredibly empathetic and served us in both English and Spanish. The waiters were very friendly and welcomed us even though we didn't have a reservation. However, for the price you pay to eat there, the restrooms need maintenance. Everything else was excellent.

There's no better food experience. Every euro is well spent. The raw appetizer is as top-notch as the cooked one. The spaghetti with porcini mushrooms and blue lobster is something indescribable.

Romolo al Porto is a true must-try and one of the symbols of the Lazio coast when it comes to seafood restaurants. A historic establishment that continues to thrive thanks to the quality of its ingredients and its attentive service. Walter and his entire team work with great professionalism and organization: the service is prompt, from welcoming guests to taking orders to delivering the dishes, without ever feeling rushed. We chose their raw fish menu, which we found truly interesting because it alternates great classics with more sophisticated and experimental dishes, all of which were very successful. To conclude, we also treated ourselves to some oysters, not included in the menu, which confirmed the excellent quality of the fish. The dishes that most won us over were undoubtedly the tasting of different varieties of shrimp and scampi: extremely fresh and truly excellent. The selection of carasau bread with different seafood pairings was also very interesting; the version with calamari and puntarelle (chickpeas) stole the show, both for its visual impact and its curious flavor. Overall, it was a very positive experience: high-quality fish, friendly, knowledgeable, and always available staff. If I really had to make a small complaint, I found the use of oil and spices a bit too much in some dishes. In my opinion, a slightly lighter touch would further enhance the flavor of the fish, which is already excellent in its own right.

We had a wonderful time, the service was excellent, precise, and the staff were very welcoming despite the busy schedule. The food was very good, both the raw and cooked dishes. The first courses were plentiful and of good quality.
