On Saturday evening, we had dinner at this restaurant, which we'd known for years. We ate well; the only complaint was the "cacio e pepe" pici, which was just cheese; there was no pepper at all, but that can happen. The only downside, however, was the bill, which I hadn't checked at checkout because we had guests. When I returned to the hotel and read the receipt, I noticed that the "welcome appetizer" brought to the table while we waited for the appetizer was ultimately charged as a "peasant cover charge." We're talking only €3 per person, but it seemed like something the restaurant offered while we waited for the main course.
What really shocked me, however, was that they charged us €17 for three (three in total) pieces of pork ribs (the dish was listed on the receipt as "ribs and sausages - only ribs"). For the sake of clarity, when my wife ordered, she had asked for four spare ribs, in addition to the "rosemary tagliata" (priced at €18.00).
After the tagliata, she was brought a small plate with three pieces of spare ribs (instead of the four requested, but for goodness sake, it can happen). It was really just a taste, not even a half portion. And this "taste" cost us €17. That seems like a huge outrage to me. And I don't think it was an oversight on the part of the restaurant, because the dish was listed on the bill as "ribs and sausages - only spare ribs"...
You did a good job; it's a real shame to lose out on these things.
What can I say...a unique experience for all the senses...intense yet delicate flavors, a setting that makes you feel pampered, and kindness reigns supreme!

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, appetizers kindly offered crostini and various sauces (aglione sauce, Tuscan liver pâté, fondue....) excellent first courses as well as the meat.

A typical Tuscan trattoria with a rich menu, high-quality, well-prepared food, fresh handmade pasta, delicious grilled meats, mouthwatering desserts, and friendly, attentive service. The only downside is a stretch of dirt road in a somewhat poor condition to get there. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The service is more than excellent for this type of restaurant.
The menu is even too extensive, and our lunch was of a fairly good quality.
The meat was nothing special.

Truly a lovely place!
A fantastic welcome, with bruschetta and various sauces, all delicious.
Fantastic appetizers. The fried artichokes and the leek and potato tart with melted pecorino cheese are highly recommended.
And then we get to the main courses! A trio of jokes I'll never forget. Truly indescribable.
The salted caramel millefeuille was also delicious.
Everyone left extremely satisfied.
Excellent value for money.
The staff who served us were helpful and friendly.

We've been frequenting this trattoria for thirty years... and that alone tells you what we think of it, doesn't it? Their custom of welcoming diners with excellent Tuscan crostini (toasted bread) shows how much the customer is the center of attention here. The cuisine is typically Tuscan, with homemade pasta, like pici or tagliatelle, and meat cooked in a variety of ways, from tripe to Florentine steak. There's a wide selection of wines, but I highly recommend the house wine. In short, if you're looking for a place to eat traditional Tuscan food surrounded by beautiful countryside, this place is sure to please.
