Busy and lively. The 30 min wait was totally worth it. Attentive and friendly staff and owner was on top making sure we had an amazing experience. Food was excellent and wine te commendation could not have been better. Thank you.

Attracted by the numerous reviews, we had dinner at this restaurant located near Sasso Caveoso from which it takes its name. We didn't regret it, friendly staff who reserved a place for us outside. The culinary offerings were different but all very tempting. We opted for two first courses and a second course and the final dessert, accompanied by a good house wine, an excellent Aglianico del Vulture and to finish with an elegant Moscato. Friendly staff ready to advise you, good value for money.

Trattoria located in the historic center, but easily reachable on foot from the covered paid parking about 10 minutes from the restaurant. My boyfriend and I opted for a lunch that didn't make us miss anything, wanting to taste different typical dishes. Broad beans and chicory, platter of cured meats, mozzarella, orecchiette with pork sauce and cardoncelli, baked potatoes, rolls filled with crusco pepper and breadcrumbs flavored with green pepper, two delicious desserts in cups, one with orange, almonds and crumbled amaretto and the another with berries and dark chocolate flakes. All accompanied by an excellent house rosé wine and the attentive and friendly service of the staff. This restaurant left us pleasantly satisfied, also due to its location inside the rock. Highly recommended also for the value for money, it's really worth it!

Visiting Matera must be everyone's goal, tasting the dishes of this wonderful tavern... also. Kitchens like this one at Caveoso mix skilled hands with fabulous natural products that dictate inimitable and unforgettable tastes, for anyone.

Family atmosphere, like at home, the waiters are very attentive to everything and everyone, they explain and describe the dishes to you and even those not on the menu, a plentiful mixed starter for 2 and the typical dishes and their products at the top...large portions, we will be back

Siamo stati in questo ristorante per un pranzo, scelto sulla base delle recensioni lette e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. La location è caratteristica, all’interno molto carina e fuori accogliente. Il menù è pieno di piatti tipici della tradizione. Abbiamo mangiato prodotti a km zero, buonissimi e ricercati. Il servizio è stato ottimo, abbiamo mangiato in pochissimo tempo e il personale è stato molto carino e disponibile. Perfetto!
