Beautiful place created in a cave, you eat well with right portions at the right price. It is advisable to book in advance, even now in March which is low season it is always full

After walking a lot our tour ended with a visit to the church of San Pietro and not far from here we found this restaurant, the ideal place to stop. Located in the heart of the Sassi, also with outdoor seating. Excellent food, friendly staff attentive to dietary needs, in fact the entire menu can be replicated in a gluten-free version. Advised!!!

Locale molto carino ed accogliente. Con la mia famiglia ho mangiato sul soppalco del ristorante. Abbiamo mangiato solo secondi piatti (tagliata mista, grigliata mista di carne, tagliata del Caveoso (con funghi cardoncelli), due contorni (patate al forno e cicoria in agro), due dessert artigianali (gelato al limone e coppa crema chantilly/granella di biscotto/cioccolato fondente/frutti di bosco). Abbiamo speso 89,00€, prezzo più che accettabile. Consigliato.

Ci rechiamo in questa meravigliosa trattoria su indicazione del nostro hotel in cui alloggiavamo location stupenda veniamo accolti dai proprietari Nicola e Angela con simpatia e affetto poi seguiti da Beatrice con la sua ironia e professionalità cucina tipica locale da ritornare sarà un nostro punto di riferimento per il futuro bravi a tutti.

08/03/2025: Beautiful and refined restaurant in Matera in one of the most evocative historic centers of the south. You are welcomed with kindness and by a highly professional staff. The interior is typically wrapped in the fascinating Carparo tuff and tastefully furnished. Dinner... calling it dinner is very simplistic, I would prefer to call it a culinary experience with an explosion of tastes. As I was saying, this fantastic experience transformed my evening into a journey through typical Matera flavors and products. The dishes expertly prepared by the chef are delicious and beautiful to look at. The two owners that I had the pleasure of meeting, pamper you and list in detail all the dishes that are brought to your table. Amazing wine list. Recommended to embark on a wonderful culinary journey!!!!!
