Love this place mostly because of the manager or owner lady (Angela maybe), that was so nice to us! We were visiting Matera for the day and we didn’t have a place to eat in mind but walking in here was really perfect!

Tasty dishes; courteous, welcoming and efficient staff. Affordable prices. There are also dishes available for celiacs. I highly recommend.

I've eaten here a few times now and the food and service are first class. Angela the manager/boss is lovely and always very attentive. She recommended the specials today and boy, they were both delicious. Thank you

03/07/2025: Good restaurant, pleasant atmosphere and good service.
01/07/2025: I'm sorry - but like many highly rated restaurants in Matera, this one does not live up to the rating and has been catering too long for foreign tourist palates. It was the only pasta I ate in 1 month in Italy that was not al dente. And it lacked seasoning. The other main was an acceptable but basic pork and crispy peppers dish. Only the zucchini and apple salad were good quality. The service was adequate. The cave atmosphere probably the best part of the experience.
