This family run restaurant located on a small side street near the metro station Università serves authentic, inexpensive and comforting food.
Their menu is small and changes on a daily basis, depending on the available ingredients. We tried their roasted chicken thigh and it was superb! Pan fried in butter with a drizzle of lemon juice, the thigh was utterly tender and juicy on the inside with a crunchy skin. Their mixed vegetables side platter was good, especially the aubergines sautéed with tomatoes.
The family is very friendly and eating in Trattoria Del Buongustaio is like eating in somebody’s living room - what a lovely vibe.

It's just an Italian restaurant with a variety of dishes. The prices are reasonable, but the menus in the photos may not be available. I wanted seafood pasta, so I went there, but they weren't available, so I had tomato and ragu pasta. The server didn't speak English, so I went all the way to the kitchen. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ But the food is clean and bland, but it's delicious. It was delicious. If you want to feel the local atmosphere, go there once.

We were recommended this place by a friend and so we were quite excited to try it out. No wait, good vibes and food was prepared fast. Everything was delicious, the fish and octopus were a highlight. Except the caprese salad was possible the saddest and most tasteless salad I’ve ever eaten (I ate a two forkfuls and couldn’t eat more) and in Italy there truly is no excuse for a bad caprese salad, sorry. The meal was also quite expensive in the end, especially considering we’ve eaten better food elsewhere for half the price literally, and this trattoria was labelled as €10-20 per person.

We were a spontaneous guest as a German-Italian couple. We ate our fill of the unceremoniously prepared dishes, which were prepared without any frills but were very tasty. Since I wanted to eat plant-based, a pasta dish “al Pomodoro e Melanzana” was improvised, which I still think back on fondly today. Plus, the fried carciofi were to die for. It was all so simple and yet so good. It may be too rustic for some, but we would love to come back and felt very comfortable in the middle of this lively family business. A presto!
