Pizzeria da Gaetano In Napoli

That's great, and the pizza arrives very quickly!

I’m not sure how to feel about the pizza here. It didn’t look like Neapolitan pizza, but it was tasty. Also take notice that this is very classic local pizza, so little to no salt in the dough and high quality ingredients and little to no seasoning. We certainly tasted the quality of ingredients, mainly the mozzarella and ricotta, but they were not seasoned at all, so they were dull. Overall we received decent pizza but it wasn’t anything special. And that’s really a bummer, as the place looks and feels like classic small Napoli pizzeria, with history. But for some reason our pizza didn’t look nor tasted like other people posted in their pictures.

This little restaurant was our first food experience in Napoli and we did not regret it. Very good prices and a wide variety of pizzas made freshly. If you take off from train or Alibus and you are hungry it is highly recommended to give it a try.

A historic Neapolitan pizzeria near Porta Nolana and 5 minutes from the station. The atmosphere is decidedly spartan and popular, but this, in my opinion, is one of its strengths. You'll be immersed in an atmosphere of old Naples, steeped in history. The owners are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. No appetizers or anything else, just old-fashioned pizzas. If you're in the area and aren't looking for a modern, stylish atmosphere, it's worth stopping here.
