I chose it based on reviews while passing through Foligno. Let's just say that, apart from the two tagliata, which were very stiff and difficult to chew, and one with truffle that didn't taste like much, the rest was good, especially the side dishes.
The value is definitely in the price, and perhaps if we had ordered a first course, we would have enjoyed it more.
The four of us spent €133, which included:
2 waters
1 liter of wine
2 Umbrian appetizers
1 crostini with livers
1 pigeon
1 lamb au gratin
2 tagliata, one with truffle
2 sautéed broccoli
1 sautéed radicchio
1 Vin Santo and donuts
1 other dessert

After visiting Foligno, we ate at this family-run trattoria. What can I say? Excellent food and a wide variety of choices, including some first and second courses you'd usually eat at home (unusual in a restaurant I personally enjoyed, such as spaghetti with tomato sauce, chicken breast, legume soup, etc.). We ordered three set menus, two waters, a Coke, and three coffees, and paid €43.50. The first course was homemade rigatoni with ragù and the second with micina sauce, followed by tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, meatballs with sauce, mixed roast meats, and bruschetta with prosciutto. Vegetables and chips were also served on the side. In short, an experience worth repeating. We need more places like this.

A classic trattoria, excellent food, and impeccable service. Excellent value! The crostoni with liver pâté are highly recommended. The house wine is good; I drank a glass of sparkling white.

Located in the center of Foligno, great prices and excellent food.
The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, all at very reasonable prices, with the option of a daily menu (starter, main course, and side dish).
The staff is qualified, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Even though I don't drink wine, I was impressed by their wine cellar.

Excellent food, friendly service. The atmosphere is a bit warm, but it's liveable. A trattoria where Umbrian tradition blends beautifully with friendliness and affordability. Definitely worth a try... after booking!
