The place is cold in winter, despite the heaters being on. Large rooms. Unfortunately, it's been under old management, which isn't always a bad thing, but in this case, it feels almost neglected. Typical game dishes are served in fairly small portions, such as pappardelle with wild boar, with the sauce poured over the top without stirring. The staff emphasized the fact that several of us had ordered different entrees, which put a bit of pressure on us to start ordering before everyone else had arrived. They also asked us to order everything at once because the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM.

A pleasant discovery! We ate very well, from appetizers to main courses and side dishes. They were very well organized for gluten-free options; my daughter ate everything with ease. The service was attentive to every need.

My partner and I often come to this beautiful and delicious trattoria. We know the owners well. I give it a full 10...I recommend it to everyone when you come to Genzano di Roma to eat good game.

Old school trattoria focusing on wild game dishes. I had an excellent wild hare fettuccine. I now know was fagiano (pheasant) cacciatore is supposed to taste like! Would happily recommend for anyone looking for rustic, less-common Lazian dishes.

26/10/2025: Back to this little restaurant, and once again, an experience to treasure! This time on a Saturday night, the restaurant was almost fully booked, yet the service was impeccable, the atmosphere intimate and refined, and the food sublime. We were delighted to discover new culinary offerings and appreciate the new accolades received by this young team of professionals led by Chef Alessio. It's truly a pleasure to be pampered by this small but highly original restaurant on the outskirts of Rome. Congratulations, indeed!
10/10/2025: I was in Valmontone for work, I had lunch at Specus and immediately felt at home. Alessio and Flavia welcomed me as if we'd always known each other. The atmosphere was clean and quiet, and the cuisine was authentic and delicious. It will be a destination for three lunches and dinners. My compliments to Alessio and Flavia. Thank you for the wonderful lunch.

Est! Est! Est! - Pizzeria Ricci

03/03/2026: A fantastic evening with my friend at this historic pizzeria. The food was very good and of high quality, and the staff were very kind and professional. Highly recommended.
28/02/2026: My last visit was disappointing. I discovered (too late) that it's under new management and no longer makes the special pizza it once did. Now it's just another tourist spot.
