Went after consulting Google and seeing the good reviews that we confirm. Location located in the Town Hall square, friendly and fast staff. Excellent food and prices adequate for the quality of the product and service.

Classic tourist place with excellent dishes, less so for the cold cuts served on a hot cutting board (meh). Decent quality-price ratio.

Booked for 4 online, ignoring the fact that it is in the historic center of Assisi, and as we know where there are crowds of people you have to hurry and leave the table quickly. Anyway, we ate well, we took two appetizers to share for 4 and a pasta first course for each, and a bottle of very good Sangiovese, and we spent around 35 euros per person, I would say enough for half an appetizer and a first course. A negative note is that there is no possibility of drinking house wine by the glass and you have to take a bottle of 20 euros or more.

Some very good dishes such as pasta with tomato and pecorino, or pasta with truffles. The pasta with wild boar ragù, on the other hand, looked like pasta with banal ragù... Much below expectations. Small environment. Extremely dirty kitchen, you could see it from the room.

Good for a quick lunch! I recommend the strangozzi with truffle and sausage.

Si sta come dentro ad una macchina "macina clienti". Il capo impartiva ordini da un capo all'altro della sala "lampada!", "non ti fermare!", "pane!", "non sbagliamo i tavoli adesso!", come dentro ad "hell's kitchen". Le comande erano prese a tempo di record, tutto impersonale. Tutti correvano per i tavoli come indemoniati, con anche urti alla sedia di mia moglie "scusi" e via a corrente. Una trattoria che massimizza le ricevute / ora, non proprio una bella serata. Il cibo è ovviamente stato portato alla velocità della luce, con le conseguenze del caso. Una tagliata chiesta a cottura media è arrivata al sangue ma ancora fredda dentro, probabilmente era passata direttamente da 3 gradi di un frigo alla padella. La tagliata non era gustosa, ma non si può dire neppure cattiva. Il filetto era già precotto, non tenero, non duro, ma certamente non di qualità. Dove essere avvolta dal lardo, ma era invece della pancetta. Conto non caro, ma neppure economico. Hanno fatto la cortesia di togliere €5 per aver lamentato la tagliata al sangue. Non capisco le recensioni con una distribuzione anomala dei giudizi verso l'alto, solitamente un 10% di pessimo è fisiologico anche nei migliori ristoranti, ma non posso sapere come mai, mi resta un dubbio. Non è al livello di un "tourist trap" perchè sono bravi a galleggiare fra un servizio così cosà ed un cibo così cosà. Non ci torneremo, altre e migliori sono le offerte di Assisi che avevamo apprezzato nei giorni precedenti. Metto nella media perché ... sono buono.
