Abbiamo preso l'antipasto di mare con 7 portate ed erano una più buona dell'altra, soprattutto il purè di ceci con gamberi e marmellata di cipolle. Anche il primo era veramente tanto tanto buono, con cozze e vongole molto saporite! Consigliatissimo

Beautiful and very particular place, especially in the internal room. Excellent welcome with friendly and highly qualified staff, menu recommended by the chef's wife. Really excellent food and very fresh fish. Fair price. The chef is really very nice and lives up to expectations. I will definitely return next year. Recommended place. From Rome with love.

We let the chef surprise us with fish of his liking and boy was it a treat. Delicious and perfectly cooked.

Fantastic place to eat fish. Everything we ordered was delicious. Very good and attentive service. We liked a lot. Raw mare. Fried mare. Red tuna. Pasta with Clams. Tiramisu and chocolate tartufo.

Excellent food quality and quantity, all very good and located at the entrance to Polignano, easy to reach, excellent value for money. The only flaw is the bathroom without windows, where it is excessively hot and there is not even a changing table for children. Being a place visited a lot by families with children, it would be advisable to put an air conditioner in the bathroom and a changing table for changing babies.

The food was ok, nothing out of this world, just ok. However, the service was simply awful, 2/3 waitresses looked like and acted like they'd given up on life and could think of better things to do than work at a restaurant. They had zero interest in smiling or making us feel welcome. Then, to top it off, we ordered a local roasted whole fish that was served with scales on! Apparently, it's a thing.... that I'd never heard of, but hey ho, I'm sure you'll find far more welcoming places in Trani.

This evening I had the pleasure of having dinner at the trattoria Il Monaco in Polignano a Mare specializing in fish-based cuisine, and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. Even though it was a very busy evening and everything was already booked, the owner went out of his way to find a place for me and my friends. His dedication and desire to make us feel comfortable was evident from the first moment. Once seated, we were greeted by the owner's wife, who took our orders with great professionalism and courtesy. She was exceptional in understanding and accommodating all of our needs, making the entire process a real pleasure. The dishes we were served were simply delicious. Each course reflected the freshness and quality of the ingredients, prepared with skill and passion. The fish was cooked to perfection, with flavors exploding in every bite. Besides the quality of the food, what made the evening truly special was the owner's charismatic personality. His passion for cooking and his hospitality made us feel at home. He shared stories and anecdotes, adding a personal touch rarely found elsewhere. In conclusion, the trattoria il monaco is not only a place where you can eat excellent fish, but it is also a place where you can live a unique experience, thanks to the extraordinary hospitality and dedication of the owner and his wife.
