The food probably saves the place but the owner is not at all friendly and the hospitality leaves much to be desired. Finally, the location is small, perhaps creating intimacy, but for me it's a bit cramped.

Don't expect a refined atmosphere or gourmet dishes; the location is simple, and the dishes have authentic, amazing flavors. We were in Lucignano for a short vacation, and after dining at Trattoria Del Gallo on Wednesday evening, we returned on Thursday and Friday evenings. The portions were generous, everything was perfect, from appetizer to dessert, and the bill at the end of the meal will pleasantly surprise you. If you're in the area, it's a must-try (on Friday evening, the wild boar stew is spectacular). We'll definitely be back.

Excellent food, from appetizers to first courses (excellent small plates with white Chianina ragù) and excellent meat (both the tagliata and the Chianina carpaccio, and the next table brought a truly remarkable steak). Fair prices in an old-fashioned trattoria. Reservations recommended...for campers, a 5-minute walk from the town's RV park.

We called when it was already late, but we were welcomed and served. Excellent food at super fair prices. The meat, tagliatelle, ribs, and cheesecake were delicious. The owner was very kind and friendly. Recommended!!!!!⁷8

Good morning, I ate here two nights in a row. The food was delicious and easy to digest. The service was exceptional. I ate things I'd never eaten at home: tagliolini with goat sauce. The meat was spectacular. The owner and waiter were very kind. See you soon and thank you. Highly recommended.

We stopped at the camper van rest area, about 500 meters from the restaurant. The dinner was excellent value (fantastic steak). I'm not giving the service 5 stars only because the wait time was a bit above average, but that's acceptable on vacation. If we're in the area, we'll definitely stop by.

We finally managed to eat here, and our expectations were not disappointed!!! Excellent food, superb meat, generous portions... what more can I say? We'll definitely be back, hoping to find a table. Reservations are recommended. If you're passing through Lucignano, which is worth a visit, I recommend eating here! The atmosphere is informal, like a rustic trattoria, with authentic flavors. Superb!

24/08/2025: Dream vacation! We stayed as a family at this beautiful property in the Val di Chiana and couldn't have asked for anything better. The apartment was large, spotlessly clean, equipped with every comfort and with incredibly comfortable beds. The view of the Tuscan countryside, with its sunflowers, is something you'll never forget. Extremely kind staff: Nadia was always available, friendly, and very professional, and Mr. Franco also welcomed us with great courtesy. We chose half-board and ate deliciously, with traditional Tuscan dishes prepared with care. The dining room staff was truly impeccable. The pool is large, clean, and has plenty of space to relax. The property is dog-friendly and perfect for families with children: my niece was thrilled! Lots of green spaces and the opportunity to even experience flying thanks to the on-site school... truly exciting! Excellent location for visiting the Val di Chiana, Val d'Orcia, and even Umbria. Breakfast served in your room was a real treat, a real treat. A special thank you for the attention paid to my brother-in-law's birthday: cake and sparkling wine provided by the staff, a gesture we greatly appreciated. We were treated with great care. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!
17/07/2025: In general, the hotel is very beautiful, especially the exterior, the rooms need a little renovation. Unfortunately, during the period we visited there was a huge problem with flies both in the room where our sleep was disturbed but also with the food which we had to eat very quickly as there were flies everywhere. The girls at the reception were very helpful and smiling in contrast to the lady in the restaurant who was abrupt and unwilling to serve when we asked to change tables at a time when there were only 3 parties in the restaurant.

17/09/2025: My partner and I had looked up restaurants to go in Stia as we are staying in Via Roma 33. We arrived around 8pm on a Wednesday evening. We could only see one person in eating, but it looked lovely inside so we gave it a shot and my was it worth it! I had the beef with celeriac, shallot and truffle puree with a side if green beans. My partner had a tagliatelle in a ragu with a side of roasted chipped potatoes. Both dishes were beautiful with particular mention the beef dish. Truly exquisite, so light and bursting with flavour. We weren't going to have dessert but it was also delicious we decided to have a look!!! I had the cannoli with hazelnut ice cream and a sort of bread like sponge in a chocolate soup of sorts. I have never tasted a combination like it. My fiancee has passionfruit sorbet. Stunning We will be back before the holiday is over. Best meal we have had so far. Server was wonderfully kind and helpful.
14/09/2025: Excellent food and super friendly staff. We ate there twice, highly recommended!!
