A cozy place. It's best to arrive right before opening, as it fills up quickly. We weren't particularly pleased with our dishes (they were good, but nothing special), but maybe we just made the wrong choice. The dessert and wine were good!

A charming trattoria in the center of Bologna, located right above the little bridge with the famous "window over the Reno Canal," a distinctive and highly Instagrammable tourist attraction. We ate in the annex overlooking the street, which was perfectly heated despite the bitterly cold outside. The carefully curated menu, available in both print and online, also details the origins of the restaurant's name, complete with its iconic cat, and offers traditional dishes and other delicacies. Attention is paid to the table, and bottles and glasses bear the restaurant's logo. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, helpful in guiding us through the selection of local products. The cuisine is excellent. Prices are a bit high; we spent just over €40 for an appetizer and a plate of tortellini in capon broth. We had two covers, but only one of us had lunch, a bottle of water, and a single glass of wine. The money was worth the money, though, as the place is truly welcoming. It was a pleasant experience, allowing me to completely escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Good food, typically Bolognese, fast service, the only flaw is very little space between one table and another.

Lasagne and tagliatelle ragout are exceptional

I visited this trattoria with my family and my two furry daughters. Everything was perfect, the food was delicious, the location was quaint, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. It will be our go-to trattoria every time we return to Bologna.

Everything was very good, the service excellent, everything beautiful, in a packed restaurant; they even gave us an extra seat at an already full table. After a day at the wine fair, finding a wine list that was truly overpriced and of poor quality was truly disappointing. I can't believe that for €20 you get a bottle of low-quality wine, in a city that has hosted the FIVI wine fair for three years. A little more research and experimentation are needed, beyond the wines that are distributed through mass distribution channels.

Wow. As an English person, this is what we expect an Italian Restaurant to be like, even down to the gingham tablecloths. Food, service, coffee all exceptional.

A welcoming atmosphere with excellent, friendly service. Typical Bolognese food and top quality! The trattoria is practically next to the famous window overlooking the Reno Canal, on Via Piella.
