Good and plentiful food, too bad that before ordering we had to wait more than half an hour and after calling the waiter at least twice we went directly to the counter to ask if someone could come and take the order.

This is a great place to enjoy aperitivo with your friends or family! The offer price is 8 euros per person, but they serve plenty and a variety of snacks. If you are lucky, you can see the rainbow from the outside seat. The orange Grappa tasted nice. Il menù, pur non essendo molto ampio, è un’autentica espressione della cucina del territorio. Tra le proposte da non perdere ci sono sicuramente gli agnolotti al plin, preparati a mano con ripieno di carne e conditi con un burro nocciola che esalta il loro sapore delicato. Un altro piatto che non può mancare è il brasato al Barolo, tenero e saporito, accompagnato da contorni di stagione che ne esaltano il gusto.

Part bar, part brewery, part trattoria: this is Zia Giò, a place in the center of Cameri that offers traditional local dishes revisited in the Zia Giò way, exactly! Here young people are the masters, in fact Watson and I, on a dark and stormy evening 4 weeks ago, were the oldest patrons, at least until 9pm. Here, often, those who come for dinner can find the entrance (where a bar counter makes a fine display) crowded with happy house consumers who are particularly generous here. For our investigation, however, we look for lesser-known dishes such as Cameri cannelloni or traditional ones such as braised meat with polenta and fassona carpaccio. Between one dish and another we delight in reading the aphorisms printed on the paper placemats that act as plate underlays on tables set in a spartan but functional way. The service is attentive and the staff is friendly. We end with dessert and coffee. With a bottle of 2018 Fontanafredda Barbera d'Alba and a bottle of mineral water we spend between 50 and 60 euros each. If you want an informal place and fast, friendly service, Zia Giò is for you.
