If you are lucky, you can see the rainbow from the outside seat. The orange Grappa tasted nice. If you are a traveler, please remember Trattoria Da Zia Giò is not caffetteria, so that she does not serve cappuccino, caffè americano, and macchiato.

Part bar, part brewery, part trattoria: this is Zia Giò, a place in the center of Cameri that offers traditional local dishes revisited in the Zia Giò way, exactly! Here young people are the masters, in fact Watson and I, on a dark and stormy evening 4 weeks ago, were the oldest patrons, at least until 9pm. Here, often, those who come for dinner can find the entrance (where a bar counter makes a fine display) crowded with happy house consumers who are particularly generous here. For our investigation, however, we look for lesser-known dishes such as Cameri cannelloni or traditional ones such as braised meat with polenta and fassona carpaccio. Between one dish and another we delight in reading the aphorisms printed on the paper placemats that act as plate underlays on tables set in a spartan but functional way. The service is attentive and the staff is friendly. We end with dessert and coffee. With a bottle of 2018 Fontanafredda Barbera d'Alba and a bottle of mineral water we spend between 50 and 60 euros each. If you want an informal place and fast, friendly service, Zia Giò is for you.

I have always only had the opportunity to have an aperitif with a cutting board. There are four platters in their offer (rustic, classic, mixed fried or mixed polenta). Prices normal. Sufficient food quality. Family and pleasant environment.

Very satisfied especially because being gluten and lactose intolerant I was able to stuff myself anyway!! 😍 the waitress Karina very kind!

Domenica sera, sono passato alla Trattoria da Zia Giò per un apericena. Essendo celiaco, inizialmente ero un po’ scettico: spesso i locali non hanno molte opzioni senza glutine o non sono particolarmente attenti. Invece sono rimasto molto soddisfatto! Mi hanno portato un piatto ben fornito e vario, tutto rigorosamente senza glutine: patate fritte, sandwiches con prosciutto, polenta fritta, insalata russa, polpette tipo falafel e altre cose davvero gustose. Ho chiesto informazioni e la ragazza che prendeva gli ordini mi ha spiegato che usano una friggitrice dedicata per evitare contaminazioni, cosa che ho molto apprezzato. Inoltre, mi ha detto che, prenotando in anticipo, avrebbero potuto preparare persino il fritto misto di pesce senza glutine. Il locale è aperto anche a cena e offre una buona scelta di piatti gluten free, ideale per chi vuole andare oltre il classico aperitivo. Un’esperienza positiva, sia per la qualità dei piatti che per la grande attenzione ai dettagli. Sicuramente torneròper provare la cena! Peccato che sia poco pubblicizzato il fatto che fanno il senza glutine, l'ho scoperto un pò per caso.
