Ate here twice during a week in Rome since it was recommended by my Airbnb host. Delicious food, reasonable prices, and no reservation required both times! Service was good (by European standards 🙂) and wait staff was very pleasant

I typed on Google: "The best in the area," and thanks to the reviews, I made this wonderful discovery. Top Roman cuisine... Bucatini amatriciana, serious stuff Lamb and suckling pig soft as butter, and probably the best potatoes I've ever had. Authentic, friendly service with the right recommendations. You can feel the atmosphere of Rome and the Romans. Super traditional place. Appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, and dessert: €35 well spent...

Personale gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo mangiato solo secondi, niente primo. Tutto ottimo! E gli antipasti e secondi che abbiamo visto passare molto interessanti. Abbiamo chiudo la cena con tiramisù classico e al pistacchio delizioso! Sicuramente da provare!

Il locale è ben collocato vicino ai musei vaticani, inoltre è simpatico ed accogliente, così come lo è il servizio (più che simpatica la ragazza che ci h servito). Purtroppo alti e bassi nelle pietanze. Le puntarelle erano tenere e ben condite. I fagioli con le cotiche invece erano da rivedere: acidità eccessiva causata presumiamo dal pomodoro e dalla carenza di cotiche. I carciofi alla romana sapevano di lesso: suggeriamo di diminuire la quantità di acqua ed aumentare l'olio, anche se quest'ultimo costa più dell'acqua, ma visto che vengono venduti a 6 euro l'uno forse si può fare. Buona la trippa e molto buona la coratella. Bevibile il vino della casa. Il ricarico importante sull'amaro contribuisce in modo significativo a tenere basso il rapporto qualità / prezzo.

22/06/2025: Sunday lunch: nice and cozy place, attentive but never intrusive dining room service. We had as an appetizer an egg with truffle on a nest of crispy potatoes (spectacular in the presentation and astonishing in the taste), two first courses: a pappardella filled with potatoes and porcini mushrooms (beautiful to look at and very pleasant to taste); a tricolor gnocchi (beautiful to look at but the taste lacked that extra kick); two second courses paired with their side dishes (good and not banal) and two desserts (a very fun deconstructed tiramisu and a delicious creme brulee) water and coffee. 115 euros for the experience offered, price perfectly in line with the offer. everything plated, presented and served with care with new and pleasantly surprising combinations. Definitely worth trying the summer menu put on the table soon. We will be back.
15/06/2025: One word to describe it: Superb! The creamed cod appetizer was very good, the Gricia was perfect, the cockerel and lamb were amazing! Good wine list, prices in line with the excellent quality of the raw materials. I will definitely be back.

10/07/2025: Excellent pizza al Taglio. Super fast and friendly service. The pizza is delicious; it's not the best I've ever had, but it's definitely delicious and it's a great way to get out of a tight spot.
