Reservations are recommended. We had lunch on the outdoor terrace because it was fully booked and the weather, even though it was October, allowed. The food was good and plentiful, all accompanied by the house sparkling white wine. I recommend trying the fried gnocco stuffed with gorgonzola...exceptional.

Passing through Piacenza, we decided to have lunch here. Nice place. Very good food. It's a shame about the mediocre service... the waiters were friendly but not very organized. The food was excellent... we had a platter of fried gnocco, delicious fried gnocco stuffed with gorgonzola, ricotta and spinach ravioli, and delicious homemade desserts.

It is a humble seeming place and location, but the food here is cooked with love and passion that is both nourishing and delicious. I have lived in Piacenza for two years but prior to last week I had never been to this place. Since that time, I returned almost every day with my parents, who both enjoyed this restaurant and insisted that we go back again. I was taken aback at first because of the quality; this place seems as though it would belong on the side of the road in a hill town somewhere, and not in the city of Piacenza. There is both a standard menu and a list of daily specials. I tried both and so far everything has been outstanding. The raviolis and pastas (tortelli, in particular) are my favorites, but I don't think you can go wrong. I also appreciate the ease with which you can order a decent salad here. The lunch service with Deborah was also excellent. It gets pretty crowded for lunch, but I haven't been for dinner. I hope to return in a few months.

Great food. Tasty, fresh and reasonably priced. The waitress was helpful and cheerful. Highly recommend.
