The place is very characteristic and if you find a place you can eat well, I didn't like the decor of the place very much, but everyone has their own tastes, the service is excellent and punctual, while the language used by the staff is in line with the its furnishings. I recommend it for the affection shown by the owner and the very familiar and hospitable atmosphere.

The food is good, very convivial, definitely worth going there.

You can't pass through Lucca without passing through Ubaldo. It's an experience. Unique place, particular like few others, unique furnishings (but truly unique, eh. Almost "fucking" furnishings, you'll understand why from the photos). In addition to Ubaldo, an extroverted character who exudes sympathy from every pore, there are Guglielmo and Genny (I hope it's written like that) who complete the picture. All very good, homely, warm and easy-going environment. Prices below normal. Must try!

Small, very particular environment, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff, Ubaldo who goes around the tables cheering up the diners. Limited menu with a few characteristic but well cooked dishes.... sliced ​​beef with lard top marks. Advised.

This place should be considered a Local Attraction. Atmosphere, decoration and music, 5/5. The friendliest staff we've met in Lucca. You can tell it's a family runned restaurant the minute you walk in. The kitchen is also superb. Tasty. Abundant. Fair priced. Be sure to make a reservation.

Mia moglie ed io, in occasione di LuccaComics e su consiglio del nostro host abbiamo pranzato da Ubaldo; la scelta si è rivelata felicissima sia per la qualità del cibo (molto buono) che per l'atmosfera che abbiamo respirato. Per un disguido durante la prenotazione ci è stato assegnato un tavolino proprio accanto alla cassa e così abbiamo potuto pranzare godendo anche dello spettacolo del lavoro del personale che è stato intenso, "colorato" ma sempre efficiente e cortese. Il conto ? Ottimo, in rapporto alla qualità e al servizio. Il proprietario Ubaldo e il suo figliolo - a dispetto dell'aspetto un pò truce - sono persone valide e gentili, così cone il ristorante, carico di tanti oggetti magari paurosi (e anche osè...) ma che poi si rivela accogliente e confortevole. Non si può andare a Lucca (Comics o no) senza passare anche da Ubaldo !

Posto particolare e folkloristico. Personale giù alla buona, pronto alle battute e va bene così! Si ride coi vicini di tavolo! Abbiamo un primo un secondo e i dolci, tutto buono. Non avevamo prenotato ma ci hanno trovato posto e servito velocemente. Ci tornerei e lo consiglierei.
