Very authentic. Best Tiramisu I have ever had. The owner who founded the place years ago comes and greets you once. The pasta is delicious. Make sure to ask for peperincino if you like spicy. House wine is pretty decent too. Very homely environment. All the staff are super nice. Make sure you be there at 11.50 am as the place opens at 12 and may ger crowded pretty soon, especially if you go during peak tourist season.

A great family-run restaurant with delicious food, not a tourist scam. The many locals are proof that this is an authentic restaurant. The selection is extensive and there's something for every taste. We paid €30 for 1.5 liters of water, three main courses, and three desserts. A definite recommendation!

Typical Italian food at an unbeatable price. First course 6 euros, second course 8 euros. You have to take a number and wait to be seated, but all good things come to those who wait. I recommend going before 1:00 pm. The waiters are very friendly and helpful. The blackboards with the daily specials written in chalk are very interesting. If you also stop by to say hello to Stelio, who is already 90 years old... what more could you expect? If you want to eat like an Italian, you have to go there.

Trattoria da Stelio was a highlight of our time in Pisa. The food was simple, fresh, and incredibly flavorful — the kind of cooking that speaks for itself. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the prices were surprisingly affordable, especially given the quality.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was genuinely warm. The staff made us feel right at home and created an experience that felt personal.
If you’re in Pisa and looking for a spot that serves tasty, no-frills food with heart — without breaking the bank — Trattoria da Stelio is a must. We’d happily go back!
