Now in beautiful Petralia, Sicily, a quaint village in the hills about one hour from Cefalu. Decided to explore this beautiful area and to dine at a highly recommended restaurant called Da Salvatore. In Sicily, food is a pride of every chef and they take it as seriously as they do personally as a mark of their culinary fare. Well, Salvatore, the proprietor did not disappoint. We ordered the super appetizer rustico which was composed of more than 15 small variety of eggplant, mushrooms ricota and so much more, a work of art by the hands of simply a culinary artist. So amazing. Next I had the ravioli stuffed with asparagus and ricotta cheese. If you happen to be in Palermo or Cefalu, take this beautiful drive and join in this family restaurant where the father is the owner, the daughter is the maî·tre d, the mother and son are the chefs and the result is the unforgettable experience taste of exquisite fuel to the soul. And the village is very pleasant to explore after you had your final delight, an espresso for the road.

Ritornato dopo alcuni anni abbiamo pranzato nel rinnovato locale che mantiene intatte le qualità che negli anni lo hanno fatto apprezzare. Prodotti di qualità e del territorio ben cucinati e con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Menu’ che offre ampia scelta tra antipasti, primi, secondi, ecc.. Apprezzatissimi consigli del signor Salvatore sempre presente disponibile e cordiale. Servizio abbastanza veloce ed impeccabile. Consiglio di andare e di prenotare prima.

Splendid place founded in 1982 by Salvatore and managed by the family. Typical Sicilian cuisine for lovers of local gastronomy, everything was very good, magnificent place in a dream village, very friendly wait staff and good advice. We had the most delicious lunch at Trattoria da Salvatore. Excellent ingredients clearly prepared with care. I cannot wait to return to Petralia Soprana to eat here again. I wish I could have had dinner here too.
