Salvatore is probably not a champion of friendliness and cordiality but the trattoria of this gruff restaurateur is truly very good. Pantagruelian first courses, very tender meat and side dishes of singular abundance. I did not order the appetizers but I am told they are special. And then, the village of Petralia Soprana is truly an exceptional setting. It is worth a visit.
I am adding my review following a recent visit. I finally ordered the appetizers and they are truly exceptional. The location and plating have also improved. The manager also seems nicer. I renew the invitation to a visit.

I'm not afraid to say it was by far the best food I've ever eaten in my life.
The lamb was simply divine, the mushrooms incredible, the grilled vegetables fabulous...
It's a hidden gem in one of the most beautiful villages in Sicily!

In a charming little square in Petralia Soprana, you will find this family-run trattoria, which has the sole claim of offering genuine, quality food, which proposes traditional cuisine with small variations. Claim centered!!! We ate really well, exquisite and abundant dishes. I recommend you book, otherwise it will be difficult to find a place. Polite and efficient service

Trattoria carina situata al centro del paese , antipasto buono , i primi discreti . Non lo consiglio per chi a bambini piccoli perché il locale è molto piccolo e il servizio igienico (uno solo sia per donna che uomo) strettissimo .

Locale storico di Petralia Soprana, con il suo storico gestore e titolare. Rinnovato negli ultimi anni, ambiente accogliente. Tutto ottimo dai formaggi di bufala siciliana (buttate e mozzarelle), crostini di pane, funghi trifolati, grigliate ed al forno con formaggio. Ottima la carne (salsiccia, maiale con purea di verdure e patate al forno, pasta fresca con capperi olive e pomodoro, posso disossato speziato). Buono il vino della casa. Prezzo onesto.
