Located inside the S.Ambrogio market, fast and attentive service.
Food lacks that something extra.
Good panzanella but needs to be enriched with seasonings.
Maybe there is too much tourism.

This seems like a place where the locals hang out. It is located inside the famous Mercato di Sant’Ambrogio, where Stanley Tucci famously went shopping with the Tuscan chef. The service is very fast, and the dishes are very simple. It feels like an Italian deli. The food is good and portions are generous. They’re famous for the beef tripe dish (“Lampredotto”) which costs 8.5 euros; you can get pasta appetizers and salads; they have “cocomero” (watermelon in this region, but this word doesn’t seem to mean anything if you go to some other parts of Italy).

This Trattoria was awesome! Our accomodation host suggested we eat lunch here if we wanted to try a local place…we loved it! It was chaotic, loud, diners everywhere but still managed to seat us with only waiting a couple of minutes. Food was simple yet beautifully cooked and plenty of it, the house wine was delicious and was just what we needed after a big morning walking around Firenze! We went back and ate here a couple of times during our stay! The ricotta chocolate cake was divine!

Bam!! That's what this place feels like when you sit down. It's fast, delicious and really exciting. No time to waste, order your food, enjoy (quickly) and get out. It's really busy and the staff move quick. It is very fun!

Nicolò is a smart, fast and intelligent boy!
I ate well, good food, I repeat excellent precise fast service, all my requests were fulfilled in an excellent way precise fast impeccable I would say! I love simplicity and quality and I found all of this!

Una tradizione. E non dico altro. Se il mercato di San Lorenzo è diventato ormai un feudo dei ladroni di Eataly e una cloaca per fighetti, per fortuna a noi fiorentini ruspanti (e aspiranti tali) resta ancora Sant'Ambrogio. E Rocco è l'anima di Sant'Ambrogio. Viva Rocco (non Siffredi) !

Great prices and fantastic food with many vegetarian options. Although the potatoes were not freshly cooked, the papa al pomodoro, lasagna al pesto and the zucchini in the contorno menu were delicious. The restaurant is in the market and thankfully they have also an air conditioned space you can escape the heat and heavy meat smells. It's open only for lunch.
