We ate lunch here today for the first time and had a wonderful time. The owner, Renato, is wonderful, friendly, and kind. The food is excellent, homemade, and filled with authentic flavors you won't find anymore. The place is clean and has a stunning view from the windows. We had such a great time that we're booking for Ferragosto (August 15th) and can't wait to return. Thank you and goodbye to Renato, his sons, and the chef.

Wonderful lunch. After a tour of Pope John's birthplace, we stopped at the trattoria run by Mr. Renato, a very kind person. The food was excellent, all homemade, from pasta to dessert, with local cured meats and a relaxing view. I highly recommend it. See you soon.

My wife and I were there 01.06.25 after a visit to Sotto il monte ... what can I say ... courtesy, quality and a very well-kept and clean place ... Mr. Renato, super kind, advised us to try the casoncelli and the pasta called foiade ... everything fresh and handmade like at home ... the second courses of veal medallions with porcini mushrooms and rabbit with potatoes and polenta ... I don't remember where I tasted such quality as in this restaurant ... congratulations ... I will definitely return because you are truly top ... Thank you very much again

If you happen to pass through Sotto il Monte (BG), I highly recommend this restaurant: it was a real discovery! A small family-run restaurant, surrounded by greenery, welcoming and authentic, where you immediately feel at home. Typical Bergamo cuisine with a genuine flavour, with homemade cured meats and fresh pasta produced directly by them. Everything delicious, from appetizer to dessert! 🤤 Mr. Renato, among other things, is a truly nice and extraordinary person. Unfortunately, places like this are found more and more rarely, replaced by places with more commercial and lower quality cuisine. Take advantage of it, you won't regret it!😋😁

Se dovesse capitarvi di passare da Sotto il Monte (BG), vi consiglio caldamente questa trattoria: è stata una vera scoperta! Un piccolo ristorantino a conduzione familiare, immerso nel verde, accogliente e autentico, dove ci si sente subito a casa. Cucina tipica bergamasca dal sapore genuino, con salumi e pasta fresca fatti in casa e prodotti direttamente da loro. Tutto delizioso, dall’antipasto al dolce! 🤤 Il signor Renato, tra l’altro, è una persona davvero simpatica e straordinaria. Posti così, purtroppo, si trovano sempre più raramente, sostituiti da locali con una cucina più commerciale e di qualità inferiore. Approfittatene, non ve ne pentirete!😋😁

24/06/2025: We had lunch here on the day of the summer solstice. Max gave us precise directions on how to reach the Cascina, you can't go wrong... He welcomed us with a smile, he immediately made us feel "at home". He cooked just for me and my husband with that simplicity and mastery that distinguish him. As soon as I entered the room I was literally moved... splendid, a leap to the heart! Everything here speaks of how much passion Max has put into making his farmhouse welcoming for himself and his guests. We will return to enjoy the peace of Mother Nature. Thank you Max! 09/06/2025: It is an experience to be lived, Max the owner, a polite, cultured and welcoming person (jack of all trades), makes you go back in time of at least 80 years, moreover he manages to make you live with other guests of the structure (limited capacity) like the large families of the past, now rare. Healthy eating and almost lost flavors. A piece of advice, to those who think of going to a luxury place with all the comforts and convenience of access, it is not for you. While for those who are inclined for an experience different from the usual trip out of town, away from the frenzy, do not hesitate to contact Mr. Max. Thanks to Max and the guests I met and shared even if it was a short experience.
