Excellent restaurant with excellent value for money. A bit noisy when full, spectacular outside on the veranda, a unique view, friendly and professional staff, including the manager. Highly recommended.

I finally managed to try Rampon after several reservation attempts... always packed! I have to say the wait was well worth it: as soon as you arrive, you immediately understand why it's so popular.
The food is excellent, the service is fast, and the portions are generous. The day I was there, they had a truly comprehensive Sunday set menu: three first courses, three meat courses, side dishes, sorbet, coffee, and wine.
The first courses were all very good, well-made, and flavorful. As for the meat, it was truly remarkable: grilled steak, incredibly tender oven-baked veal shank (it melted in your mouth like butter), and Cabernet-braised cheeks with a bold yet delightful flavor. The icing on the cake: they even offered seconds of both the first course and the meat!
I also had a dessert, which was truly delicious and worthy of the rest of the meal.
The place is beautiful, nestled in the hills, perfect for a different, relaxing Sunday. Even though it's always busy, there's absolutely no feeling of rushing to eat and leave; on the contrary, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming.
After lunch, we stopped to chat with the owner and his son at the entrance, as if we were old friends: a detail that really makes a difference.
I highly recommend it, but be patient and book in advance... it's definitely worth it!
