Passing through for work, I had the opportunity to dine at Pippo's with colleagues. The atmosphere was simple, rustic, but welcoming, as were the staff. The meat was excellent, and the service was friendly. A lovely evening that I hope to repeat!

The house wine tasted like vinegar, and the desserts (tart/pie) were industrially made, served still cold from the fridge. The first course, broth-based, with livers on the side, must have yielded 50 grams of spaghetti in the broth, without wanting to overdo it. The only joy was the skewered meat, delicious, flavorful, and plentiful. But the rest of the menu needs to be reviewed.

A feast of roasted birds, prompt service, everything was fine. The only downside was that we couldn't talk to friends because of the excessive noise. They should try to soundproof the space better.

22/03/2026: Good food, very friendly host, courtesy, hospitality, we had a good time, even though we booked in the dark, EXCELLENT discovery.
15/02/2026: Two of us ate for dinner, and the food was truly excellent, as was the service: the staff were kind and empathetic. Beyond that, the best thing was the restaurant's complete willingness to adapt the dishes I'd ordered based on my severe lactose intolerance. They didn't just offer alternatives, but also offered to adapt the dish to my needs, from the starter to the dessert. Highly recommended! P.S. I'll be dreaming about that tiramisu for a long time to come.

Antica Trattoria da Romano dal 1936

22/03/2026: Black truffle risotto, the best you'll ever eat, made with real truffles and not the herbs you find in other restaurants. The meat selection is very wide, and here too it tastes like it's been cooked over wood, not on a griddle. The location is classic in style, but with a view as far as the eye can see over the Po Valley. See you soon...
20/03/2026: My favorite restaurant! Both the starters and the meat are spectacular. It's a paradise in the summer with plenty of places to eat al fresco. It's always nice to come back here.
