We went for lunch on the recommendation of acquaintances. Small place, very popular without a reservation we waited about half an hour. But it was worth it.
Mandilli with pesto, cooked stockfish, Genoese tripe with beans, panna cotta and Marsala zabaglione. All very good, very helpful and kind staff, adequate bill. We will certainly return.

Free-range and homely environment, typical Genoese. Delicious and plentiful cuisine, exceptional pesto, delicious boiled meat and tripe! Friendly, courteous and attentive service. Very honest with prices.

Perfect pesto topped with lasagne. Easygoing environment and Barbara's smile completes the welcome. If I didn't live in Milan I would go there every day. Ps. Simple and good. The scents upon entering make you salivate. 😃👋

10/10 would come again!
Finally came to this after being told to come over and over and over again, and how good and amazing everything was! The expectations were over the roof and they were all met!
The staff was super friendly and helpful!
The food was just amazing! The trippa with beans (small plate just to try) was divine! Amazingly well cooked! So tender it was melting and so full of flavours!
The pasta with sugo di cervo was out of this world! So so rich of flavours! First time trying cervo and I was completely blown away!
The mandilli al pesto are a staple when in Genova! The mandilli were perfectly cooked and the pesto tasted so good! There wasn’t even need for additional parmigiano!
To top it all off the panna cotta was just wow! I don’t know if they make it homemade, but it sure does seem so! I haven’t had panna cotta in years and this one was just perfect!
Not pictured, but their bread is also top tier! Soft on the inside and just right on the crunch on the outside!
This place is definitely a must when in Genova!

Situata a Sampierdarena, questa rustica trattoria non ci ha deluso. Il menu, esposto a voce dal simpatico titolare, è quello della tradizione genovese, con evidenti contaminazioni dal basso Piemonte. I piatti, di vocazione prevalentemente terragna, erano tutti molto buoni. Una menzione speciale per la trippa, davvero eccellente. Prezzi popolari.
