Trattoria Da Melixa In Comacchio

Lunch in May 2025. We chose the restaurant because of the shade and because we wanted to try the eel, a local delicacy. The meat dish with fries was solidly prepared, nothing special. The fish menu, however, was excellent, especially the fish pasta with the absolutely fresh mussels and the tomato sauce with shrimp. We enjoyed the grilled eel. Service was prompt, and card payments must be made at the counter inside. Tables are available by the water, inside in the passageway, in the restaurant, or on the terrace. Ambience is selectable.

But how beautiful is Comacchio! And how beautiful are these restaurants on the canals in the historic center!! Too much! We had a great time. Everything was perfect.

Local chosen by chance just stayed in Comacchio. We wanted to eat good fish and above all to try the famous eel. In this place there was the possibility of trying it with a cheap menu and we were quite satisfied. Advise!

We went to Melixia in Comacchio attracted by an interesting menu and an inviting price: €18 for a first course, a second course of grilled eel and a quarter of wine (cover charge not included). The place is nice, with a pleasant veranda and a rustic atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. All in all we ate well, with a special mention for the eel, really excellent. However, when the second course on the menu arrived, we were a little disappointed: the eel dish included in the offer consisted of two fish fingers accompanied by two slices of polenta, decidedly less than we expected. Good, yes, but really small in portions, so much so that to fill us up we ordered another dish of grilled eel, off the menu. A small misadventure, which perhaps doesn't bother those with a smaller appetite, but which ruined the initial impression a bit for us. In any case, the quality was there and the overall experience was positive.
