Trattoria da Me In Bologna

An excellent choice for trying typical Bolognese dishes. The service was outstanding, with great recommendations and excellent value for money. Definitely a place to return to.

While strolling through Bologna, I came across Trattoria da Me. I was immediately struck by its Michelin-starred listing and, right next door, the workshop where a traditional Bolognese grandmother was hand-making tortellini. As a chef, it was truly a treat to witness such an authentic scene firsthand. It was Saturday lunchtime, and without a reservation, I asked if there was room for one person. Luckily, they managed to find me a table. I say lucky, because what I was about to eat was simply exceptional. The interior of the trattoria is beautiful: it feels like entering a typical Italian grandmother's home, with paintings hanging everywhere and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff also deserves special mention. The staff work with great professionalism, but at the same time, you can tell they're on the same page and having fun. And that's wonderful, because being able to enjoy your work truly makes all the difference. I decided to start with a great classic: tortellini in brodo. That dish took me back in time, to memories of my grandfather, who, in any season and any temperature, never turned down a good plate of tortellini in broth. As a colleague, I'd like to thank Chef Elisa for giving me this experience. Perfectly prepared tortellini and an excellent broth, concentrated and rich in flavor. For my second course, I chose the Bolognese cutlet. Delicious. There's not much else to say. Unfortunately, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, and I couldn't finish it. On Sunday, before leaving for Zurich, I decided to return to Elisa's for my last Bolognese lunch. This time, too, I showed up without a reservation, and even though the restaurant was fully booked, they very kindly managed to find me a seat. Being Sunday, Her Majesty had to be present: the lasagna. An extraordinary dish, with a truly excellent ragù and impeccable preparation. I'm truly happy to have discovered this place and chosen to spend my last lunch here before returning home. Thank you for your hospitality, for your food, and for making me feel at home. Typical tourist trap. Does not meet expectations at all. They do not live up to their mention in the Michelin Guide. Rushed, noisy, little attention to the guests.

Amazing food, would recommend the asparagus salad, cheese ice cream, and the panna cotta (thanks to the handsome waiter who recommended it 😉)

This is the place! It was recommended by our hotel manager and he was spot on. The starter combo they say is their thing and the Plin were my favorite. They also had a sparkling white wine that was divine. My aunt had the octopus and said it was the best she’s ever had. Definitely go here!

The crescentine with cold cuts + cheese ice cream combination was very special and delicious. We loved the grilled octopus and panna cotta here as well.

It is an incredible place at the lower entrance of a tower with tables outside and inside if you don't know what to order ask the lady at the reception she is very kind and helpful. Wonderful food traditional Bolognese maybe the best panna cotta I have ever eaten I ate two. Three people ate we were full we enjoyed and we highly recommend it. I don't understand why anyone would put negative comments. The hours are from 10.00-15.00 and then 18.00-23.00. Its a must!!!

Best meal we had in Bologna. We booked the reservation online ahead of time as it was a public holiday. The staff were very friendly. I didn’t expect that they would be serving the lasagna as it wasn’t a Sunday, but because it was a public holiday they had it! For the starter, definitely get the charcuterie platter and the cheese ice creams. We really enjoyed the combination. I got the lasagna and my husband got the tortellini, both were really good. We highly recommend this restaurant.
