A very nice little restaurant off the beaten track. Excellent food, very friendly staff. Reservations are a must.

Very nice restaurant in Trieste where you can eat Friulian cuisine. The food is very good, even though we had to wait over an hour for our first courses. The cjarsons were a little below expectations because their version seems to be completely lacking cinnamon, which is precisely the component that makes them special. It's also a shame about the Turkish toilet, given the profile of the restaurant, I would have expected a toilet with a water closet.

We came on a whim and they fit us in but don't make that mistake, make reservations! It was delicious. We had the meat and cheese plate, Gnocchi with Ragu, Jota, pan roasted vegetables and the tiramisu. Everything was so good. Highly recommend

We went for lunch on a Saturday. We were about to give up, as it was impossible to find parking that day. Mrs. Mara, even though she didn't know us, remained outside the restaurant for 20 minutes to hold the place that had become available in the meantime. Having said this preamble, just to make it clear who he is, eating in his delicious restaurant was a merry-go-round of pleasures: genuine Trieste cuisine cooked with love. From the appetizer to the dessert (a wonderful warm gubana with grappa) we were all pampered, adults and children. I heartily recommend. Anyone who is in Trieste and wants to eat traditional frico cannot miss this stop!

Truly a nice place to enjoy Mrs. Mara's exquisite cuisine, which makes you feel at home. We enjoyed the typical Frico and an excellent platter of cold cuts and cheeses. Followed by tortellacci filled with wild boar, very delicate, and bread gnocchi with goulash which deserve a special mention. Sublime homemade desserts. Super service and environment. Adequate bill, I really recommend it.

Abbiamo festeggiato la notte del 31 dicembre mangiando in questo ristorante con amici. Atmosfera familiare, cameriera molto gentile e simpatica. Proprietaria sempre presente e interessata ai suoi ospiti. Abbiamo mangiato bene, il goulash servito al posto della guancia di maialino (non scelta) , era buonissimo, vale la pena andare solo per assaggiarlo :) Purtroppo ho trovato il costo esagerato. I piatti serviti per il cenone sono quelli che sono presenti nel menù di ogni serva ma aumentare così il costo solo perchè è il 31 dicembre l'ho trovato esagerato. A parte questo particolare, lo consiglio perchè si mangia bene e l'atmosfera è molto familiare e accogliente.

Locale piccolo 20/25 posti a sedere max, molto sole casereccio, trattoria. A metà tra San Giusto/San Vito e il fronte mare. 4/5 scelte tra antipasti primi e secondi. Il servizio è stato un po' lento, gli antipasti sono arrivati subito (abbiamo preso anche il frico che è arrivato troppo velocemente infatti era tiepido...) mentre per i primi abbiamo atteso tanto, troppo, con l'aggravante che i nostri vicini di tavolo, che hanno ordinato dopo di noi, ricevevano prima i loro piatti. Il cibo comunque era buono, si vedeva che era fatto con passione, una cucina casalinga.
