Trattoria Da Gigio is a guarantee if you want to eat excellent local Venetian food. Good value for money. The girls at the service are helpful, friendly and nice. Recommended.

Delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere. Staff are attentive and friendly, and the menu is handwritten, suggesting it changes. The food is amazing, we opted for mussels to start. This was a large bowl, which was more than enough to share. The sauce was incredible. For main, we had octopus and tuna. Both were cooked to perfection, along with the accompanying polenta and roast vegetables. Highly recommended

I was in this restaurant on May 2nd, with my family. I ate the gnocchi with tomato sauce; to say the least, delicious. I highly recommend this place, the staff is also very kind. It was a beautiful holiday in Venice that I will remember with great affection, and if I were to return, I will definitely return to this restaurant too. <3

Un locale simpatico, accogliente, estremamente pulito. Ottimo servizio (le ragazze sono particolarmente gentili), in tempi adeguati. Piatti nei quali la qualità non è disgiunta dalla quantità. Cottura della pasta perfetta, piatti serviti ben caldi, ingredienti di qualità. Non siamo riusciti ad arrivare al dolce. Perché il titolo "quasi perfetto"? In un locale così non è accettabile non offrire, oltre a "acqua del sindaco" filtrata, acqua minerale in bottiglia, meglio se di vetro

Pranzo in famiglia alla vigilia di Natale. Da veneziano riconosco che ho un metro di giudizio probabilmente sopra la media, mangiando pesce dalla nascita. Ebbene, questo modesto ristorantino eccelle in bontà, qualità e abbondanza delle porzioni! Mangiato tanto e benissimo. Che dire, consigliatissimo...prezzi anche onesti.

15/05/2025: Very good local restaurant! Give it a try if you're around!
08/05/2025: Went here for dinner with my wife and we enjoyed the food a lot. I ordered a pasta dish with lobster in it along with a pizza and my wife ordered a pesto pasta dish and she enjoyed it as well. Overall, the food was good and I would come back there again.

29/05/2025: We nearly changed our booking and missed this place but glad we didn't. The food was presented well and all nicely cooked. The service was great and the wine delicious.

Every dish we ordered was so simple, yet the freshness and simplicity made everything such a delight. Just order whatever calls out to you—it will be great. It’s a family-run joint, and the care given to the food truly shows. Whenever I think of Venice, I will think of the dinner we had here.
