Trattoria Da Galileo In Livorno

Dinner on Saturday night (without having booked I was welcomed very well) we returned from Galileo without eating their (absolutely the best in the whole city) cacciucco alla livornese. I was surprised by the replacement of the excellent appetizers that I had tasted the previous time (a couple of months ago) with others that were not up to the same level, neither in terms of choice nor in terms of taste; even the presentation and design of the plating disappointed us. The mussels with beans, or the octopus with potatoes (baked) are certainly not up to the level of what was on the previous menu. The mixed fried food, good both in terms of serving size and quality but not exceptional. Good, but average the raw fish dish. Fast service and pleasant and professional staff. As for the Vermentino delle colline pisane it should be reviewed..... Overall a good restaurant but excellent in the preparation of the cacciucco. The noise of the bathroom door slamming is very annoying to the diners.

A hidden place in the heart of Livorno. A unique, incredible place with high quality products. For those who are curious to try the best caciucco in Livorno, book and enjoy the fresh fish. The only flaw or suggestion is that rosé wine should be served at a lower temperature than room temperature. I recommend to everyone

Can recommended by my daughter, excellent choice, I hadn't eaten a cacciucco like this in years, very good, friendly staff. Excellent price, two portions of cacciuco (tasty for 4 people) a good mixed fry of squid and prawns (just right for 2) mixed bruscbette, a bottle of wine, 4 Livornese punches 140 euros. Restaurant specializes in Livorno-style cacciucco but also other fried fish and paranza dishes. I went to eat the cacciucco and I just found satisfaction. The theater hardware is plentiful and I found it very good. Too bad the presence of a noisy customer with funny sounds

....ma non pensavo così "tanta roba". Locale old style, pieno di foto con personaggi famosi con dedica al proprietario, menù ricco....ma il motivo per cui è famoso è il cacciucco.....TOP e non dico altro. Personale gentile e buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Sono stato in questo locale sabato 7 dicembre con gli amici della nave... Abbiamo mangiato il caciucco e bevuto vino rosato. Tutto molto buono e prezzo in linea con la pietanza consumata.
