Trattoria da Franco offers a genuinely authentic, no-frills dining experience that reflects the character of a traditional neighbourhood trattoria. The food is solid and satisfying—nothing overly elaborate, but well-prepared and true to local flavours, which is exactly what you’d hope for in a place like this. Service started off attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere early in the meal. As the restaurant filled up, though, things understandably became a bit slower and less organized. It’s clear the staff works hard, but with a limited team handling a growing crowd, the pace naturally shifted. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot if you go in with the right expectations: simple, honest food and a relaxed environment where a bit of patience goes a long way.

This simple, clean restaurant is family-run. Only fresh fish is served, using traditional recipes enhanced with imagination. Excellent value. Reserved parking is not available.

Honestly, I expected more. We had fried food that was good, but honestly, it was very little for the price (without a side dish). The dessert was good, and the service was neither good nor bad. I wouldn't go back.

It's located at the beginning of the alley near the promenade, almost hidden, but once you try it, you'll be amazed by the quality of the fish. Excellent fried fish, perfectly cooked pasta, and good homemade desserts. The service is attentive. It's a shame the atmosphere feels tired and outdated. If you have the chance, go there; don't just look at it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We had a really good time. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, so I highly recommend it. We'll be back.
